Just saw mine going from “delayed” to expected delivery 11/6. so.....yeah!!

So originally Nov 17-24 delivery but now Apple shows the 8th and UPS shows the 6th. I plan to be out of the house all day on the 6th. I live in an apartment that has a mailroom you need to be buzzed in to so considering pre-signing to have it left in the mailroom to ensure I don’t miss the UPS truck. My question is the iPhone X will ship in a normal brown shipping box right? There just won’t be a flashy iPhone X box chillin in the mail room right? Or can I call UPS before it arrives and just have it sit there?
I would not trust anyone in a "mailroom". No offense to the folks who work in there, but it will be easy to tell it is a package from Apple.
Yeah the trend I'm seeing is those of us in the 11/17-11/24 bucket but are NOT part of the IUP are not seeing movement. Those in the same release date bucket but ARE a part of IUP seem to be getting really nice early/mid next week shipping dates.
I really want to sign up for the IUP but I was unable to do it beforehand since for some reason the one carrier that it wouldn't work on was T-Mobile. If I was on any other carrier I could have signed up for IUP prior to the iPhone X launch. Now I have to essentially buy the iPhone X at full price (which I have done) and then I was told by someone at the Apple store that you can bring it back and they can process a refund on it and then essentially re-buy it under the IUP.

IUP here, originally 11/17 then moved to 11/16 and now got a ups tracking # with a 11/6 expected delivery!
I think this is the most likely bump to occur. The initial supply will fulfill tomorrow’s shipments. Stores will get allocations and Apple will work to get most pre-orders shipped by the end of November.

I had the same issue. I started ordering at midnight and suffered problems with the Apple store contacting AT&T which caused a 45 minute delay which caused a delivery date of December 5 - 11. If this fair? No. Is life fair? No. Oh well I'll get it when I get it and hope for a bump up in delivery date. But to call someone a troll for not liking their delivery date being pushed out a month after ordering 40 minutes late does not make sense.

I’m very much in the iphone upgrade thingy and haven’t moved anywhere since launch day and got totally screwed in the whole upgrade process.
Went from a pick up time on the 3rd
To oops something went wrong
To we have a phone for you
To a delivery of Nov 17th-23rd
So I’m paddling in the same river but just not going anywhere...lol

Looks like I need to get on the IUP next year. Paid in full, AT&T, 256 GB, Silver, :15, November 17-24 with no changes or charges at all.

If you get the free MyUPS app, you should be able to redirect the shipment. One option is indeed to have it held at UPS for walk-in pickup. You'll have to judge the risk of having sit in your mail room!
I wish everyone luck and happy thoughts today with their shiny iPhones really close or really far....however I am jumping in the poison pool and going back to the dark side and gonna try my chances tomorrow with my brother towards just grabbing one at the store. I usually get what I want so we’ll see how this fares...wish me luck fellow tech peeps.
oh wow, you had a way worse experience and roller coaster of emotions lol. I was just in the boat of refreshing the Apple store app on my phone and my laptop every second from 12:00am PST until I finally was able to get in at 12:15 and by that time all launch day phones were gone and I was stuck with the 11/17-11/24 delivery.
I'm going to try getting one tomorrow at a store, but I'm not holding my breath. I may just have to wait until mine ships. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
