So, do you think Apple has dropped the ball with Leopard and tried to make something that was too good but actually made it worse by changing things that didn't really need changing?
I don't think Apple dropped the ball all. They took something which was perfect, and made it even more perfect. I am using OSX10.5 server, and among the features most useful,
Incredibly smooth and consistent UI theme
Spaces
File system can now be case sensitive
Cool server management tools
Unix 03 compliance
Not part of the OS, but I enjoy iLive 08
This OS on a MacBook Pro is running my home network, and frankly, puts everything else I have used recently to shame (Windows, Linux, FreeBSD... does not matter). IMO, It's the only OS worth paying for.
I am yet to try to new development tools, I heard there are some cool features there too.
