So the new silver MBP has a much quieter keyboard then the space gray?

Well this new silver MBP has a much quieter keyboard than my first space gray did, yes. But it has nothing to do with the color, it's more luck of the draw I think. This just happens to be a unit that got a quiet keyboard. I didn't find the first keyboard to be problematic but it was definitely noticeably clicky. This one is as quiet as my 2012 MBP.

You spent a considerable amount of money on this purchase, assumedly doing so because it is something you need, and you are holding off on opening it because you read negative reviews online? Somebody else's experience isn't going to predict whether or not you have issues with the one you bought.

If you are concerned that there are widespread, systemic issues with these laptops....there isn't. They are expensive and because of that people are overly analytical of every single detail of the purchase. They nitpick every little issue and the most vocal generally don't stop going on and on about the problems, real or perceived, they are having.

If you don't need the laptop, return it. If you do, open it. If there is a problem with it, swap it out for a new one. Don't overcomplicate this.

Last Sunday I purchased a new Mac Book Pro i7 with touch bar.

Thing is I got it home and read so many negative comments about it, that I dare not open it. I'm thinking of taking it back for a refund.

I just wish i could read some positive comments.

Thing is my question is should i take it back and wait for the next refresh.

Any comments suggestions would be greatly received.

You maybe tempted to open cool new gear. Just think how sour the taste will be when the refresh comes out.

Crack it open and use it, you'll love it!
This is the best MBP I've owned, hands down. Apple have done a fantastic job!
The problem with forums like this is that it makes problems look 1 million times worse than they are.
People only come here to complain.
Also, people come here, read those complaints and problems and then immediately go to their machine to inspect for said problem. It's crazy!
If they hadn't read it on here they'd probably never even encounter the "problem".
I'm part of a Fujifilm forum and a thread on their X100F is a person saying "LCD Screen issue, sending back to Fuji"
the "issue" is that when one pushes on LCD screen in the corners it squishes in a bit. SERIOUSLY!? Don't press on your screen then lol
Now there's heaps of people saying "OMG I just tried mine and I have this problem too, I'm sending back to Fuji"
This is the problem with forums and personally I feel for manufacturers these days. Back before the net and forums people would have just used their device and been none the wiser, and happier for it.
