Have Long Backup Times Returned?

iTunes version 8.02. On a Mac.

Mine used to take up to 3 hours. Recently the backup would always crash right before the end and it was driving me insane. I discovered that since I had over 1gb of data in the AirSharing app, it would always crash. My updates now take around 5 minutes.

Has anyone else suspected App Sniper as a contributor to extended backup times? For me it isn't Facebook, but it might be this.

It was App Sniper. The developer confirms that they are working on a fix.
