Yep, it's always worked out really well for me. I can see my car from my window at the office and I park in a garage at night so break-ins are not really a concern.
That's also why I just put the CC's in the wallet. I'd never leave a debit card or ID in there. CC's are easily canceled with fraud protections should that come about. I also lock my glove box for an extra sense of security

I took pictures of store bar codes and save them as wallpaper. It's okay for me to bring on CC and driver license.

i have DL and CCW in my mag wallet because i have to always have those with me...... if i know i need another card and i'm not taking a purse then i'll stick that card in there.

i don't carry my sam's card since that's on my phone. i don't carry my apple card since i only use that if i can use it IN apple pay since the actual card only pays 1%.

i carry my other cards in a slim card holder in my purse.

I wish ALL cards and ALL stores would go digital/apple pay.

It’s worked great for me these past 11 months or so. DL+CC+DC+$50. Anything extra can stay hidden in the car until needed.

I use an app called stocard for this specific reason, enables me to keep all of my loyalty, Costco cards etc in one place as you can store the pictures of them within the wallet

I have gone one stage further and gone wallet free, only time have been caught out so far is at the bakers when their contactless system dropped off so I couldn't get breakfast :-(

How are the options for MagSafe wallets so lacking a year out? I'm looking for one that can hold more cards and maybe another that also has a cash clip built into it but I haven't had much luck.

There are options that have a spandex holder. That’s what I’ve been using for the past few years. First the ones with the sticker on the back and now the ones with MagSafe.

I've been using stocard for years for all those store clubs, points, etc cards! Unfortunately too many stores still require the actual credit card to process a purchase.

hmmmm.... looks like I can do my bank card thru Apple's Wallet app.

Per the Costco app the physical card is still needed for fuel 😐
I dont use MagSafe wallet. But I use Trayvax Ascent wallet for my everyday daily needs. Plus in my car I have another cheaper Trayvax wallet with different fuel credit cards and loyalty cards. So I would suggest to carry your physical Costco card in car in glove compartment. That way its always in the car.

We’ve been in an era of contactless payments for years now and every shop that has a card reader, accepts Apple Pay. I don’t need an overpriced clip on card pouch on my phone thank goodness lol.

I have occasions in which I drove out of the house and forgot to bring my wallet. I never forgets my phone! So, having a driving license, a debit card and some dollar bills helped in cases such as these.

I'm the opposite. I sometimes leave my phone behind by I always have cash and a slim wallet with me. Some of us crusty old bast*rds remember a time before cell phones so they're still an afterthought at times. I have a MagSafe wallet for my 13 PM but I rarely use it. I usually throw my MagSafe battery in my go-bag but I leave the MagSafe wallet at home.

Over here, if we want to enter any premise, be it a restaurant or mall, we need to scan a QR Code - for Covid contact tracing. The phone became essential, otherwise, one has to go back home to retrieve it. I guess, that made the brain muscle memory to always remember the phone, not the old wallet.

I ran into that recently in Boston while on holiday. No printed menus - just a QR code. Fascinating. Makes me thankful I went with a Pro Max iPhone instead of a standard size model. My tired old eyes need the help!

The only card we still can't digitize here in the UK is our Driver's License so if you only need the wallet just to carry that, then it can still be worthwhile.

Love the Apple Wallet. I do have Apple Watch and Apple Pay set up.

I have pictures of my car insurance, medical/dental insurance, and AAA cards on my phone.

In my Apple Wallet i have these 4 things:

1. Driver‘s license.
2. Conceal carry license.
3. Citibank Credit Card (use whenever Apple Pay not available).
4. One folded $20 bill…for emergency cash.

My setup has changed slightly. I got tired of fighting to get the cards out so I dropped the debit card and just keep my DL and Apple Card in the wallet while everything else lives in a Ridge wallet in my car. A lot less frustration.

3 cards are just too difficult to slide out. 2 cards and a $20 dollar bill made it a breeze. I wonder if the leather will wear out over time, so I can finally fit 3 cards that let me slide them out easier.
I have the new one with NFC. No issue with the cards as noted above.

I wanted to live with the MagSafe wallet instead of just having my cards loose in my pocket. But when it came down to it the wallet constantly disconnected from the phone as I would slip it in or out of my pocket. I tried every which way to slip it in to avoid that and it didn’t change a thing. The magnets need to be much much stronger. Cheap refrigerator magnets from your favorite tourist local are stronger than this. When it got time to pay pulling a card out, just with 2 cards (I also tried 1) and it was a battle to slip a card out fumbling and getting a fingernail to prick and wedge it out that the time wasted versus just pulling out a card out of my pocket instead was much better and faster. Frankly just a trash product. With no added value to me personally. I wanted it to work but sadly If they cant at the very least increase the magnet strength by x3 then no…

You might have received a faulty product, my experience is the opposite. The magnets are too strong and sometimes it’s hard to remove the wallet from the case.

Depends on the case. Apple leather and wallet are excellent. Strong. But the apple clear case adhesion is less. I think that the materials makes a huge difference along with magnet strength.

I think that the “friction” b/w leather case and leather wallet makes it sticky. I am sure silicone case will have the same stickiness if not more. Smooth surfaces, such as Apple Clear case, has less friction…thus, feels less magnet strength (but i am sure magnet strength are the same).

I’m using the Apple Clear Case (for iPhone 13) and the newer Apple wallet with NFC and they stuck together really well. No random disconnect when slipping out of my pockets.
