On 4/10 I preordered a 42mm SS Milanese loop at 3:03am eastern with the 4/24 ship date. I cancelled it on 4/12 and went on to preorder the 42mm SS Link Bracelet on 4/18 with June shipping.

After not receiving my SG Sport on release day I tried on the SS Milanese loop in the Apple shop, canceled the sport with 24/4 - 08/05 date for the Stainless Steel with a June date. I hope its sooner but I feel happier with my choice for all the reasons you mention.

Good choice!

Im just now going though what you have gone.... EXACTLY the same models and bands too... What made you tip over to SS BSB from the SSG?

Here are the reasons I went with SS over Sport:

  1. The SS is definitely the more beautiful model of the two
  2. All bands will match well with the SS, not true for the Sport SG model (many of the bands clash with the Space Grey)
  3. It's more robust with the sapphire crystal face
  4. It's easier to match clothing with the SS as it's more neutral
  5. The SS just "looks" like a real watch, not a smart watch or toy.
  6. People who talk about weight obviously haven't tried the watch. You can't really tell the difference and it won't impact your workout. It's so light, even the 20g difference is barely noticeable. I think most people who say they want a lighter watch are really out to lunch. There is no perceivable difference after you've gotten used to wearing it. It's not like you're lugging around 3lbs on your wrist, it's 20g extra!

Excellent points! I'm leaning more and more towards a stainless steel milanese loop model now and canceling my sport order.

Returned SG 38 mm for 42 mm white sport, shipping june... Sucks but hopefully it will be better and will ship sooner

Not sure if it counts but I randomly posted my 42mm Milanese on ebay and someone bought it. So Im upgrading to the Space Black Link Bracelet. My net cost will be 0$ between the two so just gotta wait for it to ship (July :(

I love and ordered the 38mm SS with pink modern buckle late morning on 4/10 available June. I was hoping to get it earlier but there has been no movement for any of the modern buckle bands. I started thinking that the black band would be better because it wouldn't show dirt marks and it also still has 4-6 weeks availability listed. I ordered it 2 days ago. So far the only difference is that it says shipping June 1-12 instead of just June. At this point I will be happy to take the one that ships first.

I have a 38mm SS black which I am returning to Apple store and I ordered a 42 SS Black but current ship times are June for it.

Sold my 42 SGS BSB, bought a 38 SWSB at cost until my 42 SSBSB gets here. I'll give this white one to my wife. The size difference isn't really as drastic as I had remembered at try-on. Enjoying the Watch thus far :)

Contimplating exchanging my Space Gray Sport for a Stainless Steel. I didn't realize how clumsy I am with my hands. Almost banged up my sport just going into a filing cabinet the other day.

I'd keep the sport if it was more durable and had sapphire. I prefer the style of it.

I ordered a 38mm SG Sport with black band at 3:01am EST. After trying them on in the store, I ordered a 42mm SG Sport with black band.

Since my delivery window was in May, I ordered the Silver Sport with blue band on Thursday and that came on Tuesday.

2 days later, my 38mm SG Sport with black band shipped (delivery attempt failed, so being held for pickup)

On the 28th at 10:45pm EST, I ordered a SS with white band as I heard they were shipping quick, still processing (June 1-12).

Ideally, I want the SS. Not sure how this is all going to work out.

I didn't return one, but changed my mind from the SG to the Silver/White. I had ordered both of them and was almost completely sure I was keeping the SG until they arrived, and I just couldn't get over the color combo of the Silver with the white band.

What is your wrist size?

Waiting and waiting made me have second thoughts. I went into an Apple Store today and not one person was looking at the watch, so I got to play with it for a while. It was cool.

Don't get me wrong, I'm usually the first on line for a new Apple product and actually considered trying to get one on ebay earlier today... but after seeing it in person and playing with it I just didn't think it was $350+ cool, especially since I found the 38mm ridiculously small (the word "dainty" comes to mind). For me, that means it has to be $400+ cool to justify (since I now realize the 38mm is not for me).

I realize it's "not as cool" around here and that's fine, but I'll stick with Pebble for now and see what happens in a year with the Apple Watch. Trust me, I really WANTED to love it and be over the moon about it...

Needless to say, I canceled my order. Someone will be happy to get their's a little sooner now :D

I could have written this list on my own. I was very confident in my order of the SG Sport 42, and even tried it on.

After looking at some of the amazing pictures people have posted, and read reviews about the slight differences in the feeling of the crown after working out, I decided to spend the extra money for the higher quality all around.

In the end...I think its the sapphire screen that won me over.

I've had the 42mm SG Sport since launch but just ordered a 42mm SS Milanese loop because it's so pretty. I have SS envy. Probably will give the SG Sport to my Dad.

It won't ship for awhile so I can always change my mind.

I ordered a SG 38 BSB and got it on launch day.... Then decided I liked it enough to spend for a SS model. Ordered 38 SS BSB on the 26th and it arrived On the 30th. Sold the 38 SG on eBay used for £500....:D

sold my 38 SG Sport on Ebay. ordered two days ago SS WSB. I'm going to be optimistic and say we see these watches before June, since hopefully production gets cranked up more. But another 4 weeks won't take that long tbh
