hmm, yeah I guess I have missed that, again, can't believe everything on the news. I was just saying meeting at the apple store, or Starbucks seems safe.... I would never meet anyone at a police station!

Hmmm, well I have had plenty of good experiences.. just must be a function of where I live I guess...

You're not going to believe this......there is a much larger world beyond the small world that you live in, and crimes do happen even in nice areas.

Police Stations in my area (and its not the hood) have what they call "Craigslist Safe zones" located right in the police department. Craigslist is so hit and miss depending on area. All I get when I list is either phishing, or people that want me to ship internationally to some obscure country for a gift for their relative after I specifically state first thing in the listing that I won't ship internationally under any circumstances.

Sell on Swappa. I've sold numerous devices on there with no problem and got good money for them, including 2 MacBook Pro's (15 & a 13).

This is where I have had the highest success in selling my Apple gear, iPhones, iPads and Macs.

Either sell it to your baller friend, as mentioned, or sell it here in the Marketplace.

And then, we can wait with baited breath for your thread about how the 13" is too small on day 15.

It's too big for me. I'm past the return window. Where can I sell it without getting ripped off? Or what can I do? Maybe a trade-in somewhere?

lol, are you actually trolling or being serious here? So let me get this straight, you have a buddy who runs a business worth millions and he asked your advice about what laptop to purchase because he knows you are into Macs and yet you can't even buy the right size laptop for yourself?! Wow.

No words

I'd recommend going on Swappa and trying to sell it there. I just sold an iPad of mine on Swappa recently and it was a positive experience; it was my first time trying Swappa. If you're dead set on getting rid of it, then just relax--get the best price you can and use your proceeds to get the laptop you really want. Don't dwell too much on the $$ aspect of it. Take the hit, move on and be happy. Life is too short to get too upset about stuff like that.

I'm not trying really hard to get rid of it or anything. I would like to but only if I can find a way to sell it without getting cheated.

I don't mind taking a hit as long as it's not too much. For example, I'm not gonna sell it for a thousand lol.

But I've heard eBay can be difficult, craigslist scare me because what if I get robbed and it just seems like it could be shady, and I've heard good things about Swappa but isn't it pretty new?

I took one back about a 1.5 weeks after window. Explained I was wanting new one that just came out. They did it.
[doublepost=1563579222][/doublepost]Facebook Marketplace isn’t bad either. Lets you at least stalk profile.

Sold phones on swappa. 5+ Transactions all solid.

Sell on this forum or use Swappa.

The same advice you sought for selling an iPhone also applies to Mac. This isn’t a life and death situation. No need to ruminate over the obvious. Make a decision on your own and then take action. A simple search on your 2k MBP would have given you plenty of answers. At least you are consistent in getting the forum members to do basic grunt work for you.

This is why you meet the prospective buyer at your local police station. :)
Dont have to go that far but at a bank is the best way. That way you see them pull out cash and banks are great places for an exchange. Nobody will pull something in one. Or usually not.

Live with it.... Carry it around to enhance your physique. Show it off to enhance your gravitas. Babes love strong, important looking dudes with big laptops
I turned into a bodybuilder from carrying around my 15" true story. Only took 2 weeks too

I wish there was a reliable way to sell online. Like a legit place.

Meeting in person freaks me out. Afraid I'll get robbed or something.

Meet them in a safe place like a federal building or courthouse. Our local FBI office has armed security bailiffs, cameras, guards and potential for federal crimes. Not likely to get robbed.

what's wrong with a bank? Not many federal buildings around the city and plenty of banks...WE don't have to go overboard here.

I say keep it, the 13 inch takes some getting used to; and you need to learn to work within its screen limitations over time.

I use an early 2015 13 MBP and always if I plan to upgrade to a newer MacBook Pro, it would be the 15 inch.
