Same here. HBO Max is in Apple TV "Up Next". I don't recall for sure, but was there a setting in Apple TV to chose which services integrate with "Up Next"? (Not near my Apple TV right now to check)Max integrates fine with TV Up Next for me.
It also appears in the new TV app sidebar for me.
Apple announced 150 3D movies supporting Vision Pro.Okay but can we stream 3D movies? That's what I want to know. I hate the movie theater 3D experience because the glasses have focal issues, but having a truly 3D movie experience on Vision Pro sounds awesome
It never integrated on my AppleTV Up Next on my laptop but it always integrates on my Up Next on my AppleTV box connected to my TV. I do not understand why these two interfaces that should behave the same, act so differently. It does? That’s very strange… I downloaded it maybe a month ago and it didn’t, so I got a refund on my subscription and deleted it. I also googled it at that time and saw threads of other people complaining that it didn’t integrate.
Have they made a recent change to add this functionality in the last few weeks? If so maybe I’ll sign up again!
Well I maybe stand corrected then and, if so, apologies to Max! I live in the US as well but don't have cable, so signed up for a regular Max membership via an App Store subscription. When it didn't work with Up Next I requested a refund and deleted the app.I don’t know if it’s a recent change, I know when the app was released back in May It was a big complaint.
Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I live in the US and get Max through an Internet provider.
It integrates right into the TV app, available through the sidebar, everything works just perfectly.
The app that really frustrates me is Peacock, which has Apple TV app support but seems to get stuck on the loading screen every time I try to access a Peacock show through the Up Next queue in the TV app.
Yep, I went into settings and it wasn't in there.Same here. HBO Max is in Apple TV "Up Next". I don't recall for sure, but was there a setting in Apple TV to chose which services integrate with "Up Next"? (Not near my Apple TV right now to check)
Ok, thanks to all the people who told me I was wrong, and apologies to Max - it does work!Well I maybe stand corrected then and, if so, apologies to Max! But ok, sounds like the people have spoken and it apparently does work, so I'm going to redownload it and try again...
probably because the OS is terrible, the hardware pales in comparison, and yes, to address what you’re implying, Apple likely paid them out the a$$ to make apps for this—and frankly, that’s a good thing for the platform long-term, as consumers(/subscribers) who purchase a cheaper version of this in the future will have access to high-quality content right out of the box.I wonder why they don't have apps for Meta Quest? Feels kinda shifty...
It will recreate the 1999 living room and a 27” Sony Trinitron in the entertainment center.Ok, so Sopranos on how big a screen we’re talkin’ now???
86 feet and up??….200 feet?? 😵💫

Yup. I'm in the same boat. Max with my AT&T plan, but no longer have 4K after HBO changed their tiers. Even if I subscribed to HBO via my DirecTV subscription, the Max app would still be the middle tier without 4K. Only way to get 4K now would be to directly subscribe to HBOMax for $19 a month. However, it's not even worth it. Went to the Max site and searched for 4K. Only about 20 movies in 4K were found--none of which I haven't seen or want to see again. 4K on HBOMax is a joke, not worth spending money on.I’m sure only if you have the highest tier of Max. I’m just salty my Max (included with AT&T) no longer supports 4K and Dolby atmos. So now I’m stuck with 1080P and I can’t pay the difference to upgrade.
Reminds me of Ready Player One, where the fake evil corporation was testing to see how many ads could fit in-frame before a user gets a seizure.Peacock is perhaps the finest example of an app made to the exact specifications of management, to meet business objectives of engagement. Management executives who will never, ever have to use this pile of garbage app. The people working on it probably hate themselves for what they are forced to code.
All of these streaming apps seem to be competing as to who can be the most user hostile while managing to fix the fewest bugs.
I rip 3D Blu-ray movies and watch on my Quest 3 through 4XVR & an external SSD - it's quite the experience. Just watched the Avatar sequel and it was gorgeous.

Try paramount plus. After commercials the shows occasionally jump to start from last commercial break. This then happens throughout the rest of the episode.Never used a streaming App worse than Max, ever.
