Monoprice customer here too. Shipping to Canada can get a bit high, so I try to order as many thing as possible in the same package. The nice thing about them is that the prices are so good that I tend to find lots of things that I want. Often more than one. A DVI to VGA converter? Only $3? Aw, heck, let's buy 4! :D

One reason the stores can get you is they know you're excited about getting your new TV home and you expect instant gratification. They'll warn you that you NEED a new cable to enjoy HDTV on your set. And who wants to take home a shiny new TV and then have to wait another week for the cables to arrive?

The solution, of course, is to order the cables BEFORE you buy your TV :D Then when the salesperson says "You're going to need to buy this $100 cable" you can say "no thanks, I already have one, and I only paid $5" :D

BUMP, for monoprice. I've done my entire setup with them. Plasma, BLURAY, ps3.... cabling could have easily cost 3x as much elsewhere.... plus, u get to color coordinate the cables....:D

monoprice.com

I ordered my wall mount and hdmi cables from them. Very sturdy and cheap wall mount. Great quality hdmi cables at a great price. And the delivery was super fast.

Monoprice is the best for the money. Just make sure to get HDMI 1.3 so you dont have problems with 1080p. The 1.3 cables are only 1 or 2 bucks more so it doesnt matter.

i always buy hdmi cables or other connector cable from Monoprice. they have the best price and good quality, period.

Why do people keep mentioning stuff like 'high quality' when referring to HDMI.

It's digital.

It's ones and zeros.

A gold plated cable isn't gonna get those ones and zeros to you any better than a non plated one. Nor will some super insulated one.

Actually, shielded cables are better, because they can't pick up interference.. Or maybe I'm just thinking about audio cables?

I usually buy from eBay, from US sellers, not China. 4-6 footers can be had for usually $1.00 - $1.50 a piece. If they drop to $1.00, I buy 20-30 and re-sell them for $3-$5 a piece.
