Uhh, both weight and distance mate. Unless you started weighing yourself in kg and not Stone or pounds?

A lot of people still use stones+pounds to measure themselves but officially it's supposed to be kg. the only imperial thing we use officially is miles on the road, which is dumb.

im trying to get the health kit app to STOP tracking my walking, its irritating to see all the data it logs automatically when you go into all data under walking... id rather just enter it manually.

I have motion calibration to OFF and it still tracks my steps.

oh i didnt know the health.app was able to fill itself up with data, i just looked at it more in depth now at walking after u said that, i thought it was just an app for 3rd party health apps to store data in 1 place. could of tested this myself then..

Actually, South Korea uses the metric system. I lived there for 2 years.

As I said, I wasn't sure. It's the US, Liberia and Myanmar that don't use metric officially.

Yep, definitely lied to :)

Cars are all fitted with MPH speedometers, roadsigns are all in Miles, not KM so an app that measures our distance in KM is completely alien to most of us here.

I think maybe you're lying to me. I am having a hard time believing you guys don't use the metric system more.

Is a Canadian going to come in and tell me they don't use it either?

He isn't lying :) we are official a metric country, and as such, we SHOULD use everything metric. The only official imperial measurement we use is miles on the roads (but even then, all cars since 1997 or so have been required to display both mph and kph on the dashboard). It's an annoying mismatch because all the road signs for height limits are only legally required to be in feet+inches yet all car measurements come in millimetres. Our motorway road signs show junctions 1 mile away, yet the "countdown" boards are placed at 100 metre intervals. The motorway also has mileposts, but these are actually placed at 500m intervals. It's crazy, CRAZY!! Don't even get me started on the fact we have left-hand traffic when 90% of the roads in the world are right-hand traffic.

People still tend to refer to their height in feet+inches, and their weight in stones+pounds but when going through official documents they are in centimetres and kilograms respectively.

We changed officially to metric in the 60s but the government only did it half-heartedly and no one has had the balls to take on the challenge since. Our current Prime Minister even said yesterday he'd prefer we went back to imperial. Absolute crackpot :)

Don't suppose Apple will ever change it to miles for the uk. Don't want to change my region to us.

Why is my dashboard showing as empty if the 6+ should track this stuff automatically

I'm very confused by this health app stuff

You have to go to the Health Data tab and search for what you want to track. Then, choose it and turn the Show On Dashboard toggle to on. Then go back to the Dashboard tab.

The whole idea of the app is to be a central place for all of your apps that track health related things, sort of like how Passbook is the central app for all of the tickets, boarding passes, etc scattered across all of your 3rd party apps.

yeah, anyone know how to STOP the iPhone from tracking steps. i can't seem to find an off switch with in the Health app. much thanks.
