I was 1.71 when i joined the army at the age of 20. After 13 months i left the army and was still at the same height as i joined.
Now i am 26, and measure 1.74! I don't remember at what point after i gained these cm's.

Not quite a big difference and am sure i stopped growing completely now, but it's a proof that sometimes growth can continue until your late 22's.

I've also heard that some types of exercises that cause your body parts to stretch can help you get taller, but i don't know more.

Michael Jordan was 6'3" when he was drafted, but by his 3rd year in the league he was 6'6"...
...or so I've been told

I am 13 and 168cm

I am 13 years old and 168cm tall. My mum is 171cm and dad is 190cm. How tall will i be? Thanks :)

I'm 5'11" (~180cm) and sometimes I think I'm a bit short; though, I am the tallest in my family. I heard that men usually stop growing during their mid-20s, I don't really remember (I'm 31 now) when it was that I reached my current height but I do remember I was short when I was younger.

This is an odd first post, especially in an 8 year old thread.

You can be as tall as Michael Jordan. Or you may shrink to the height of Mini-Me. You can't predict that stuff based off the height of your parents. I'm taller than both of mine.

Hey people, i am 17 now and only about 170cm.

The problem is:

When i was 13, i was about 150cm, then at 14 i was 169.5cm, Now 17 (turning 18 in a few months) and i juz check my height 170cm..

gawwwdd damnit..:( :D

i am a guy... so is that normal?
When do guys stop growing in height?

Don't you know tall is good? ;) And you are average to tall depending on what part of the world you look at. Average heights

It's amazing how alien the metric system is to me. I had to convert it to inches before I knew what I was going to say. :p I'm pretty good with temperatures because I had to convert that in my flying profession daily.

now that he's had another 7.5 years to grow, I wonder how tall he is...... :p

There's no magic formula, but based on what I've seen, if you've had plenty of dairy, figure 190-195.

If you can, find out your moms dad's height. That will show what genes your mom gave. Then see which of your parents you are most like, that may suggest the extent of that influence.

Height problem?

Yes I have a height problem.

It's not so much I'm over weight, just under tall!

5'10" and 14st.

If I was 7' I'd have the correct weight!!

Height is not an end all be all, it's an ideal. I knew a woman who described her height as 'five foot thirteen'. 6 is considered a big deal and which side of 6 you want to be on, largely depends on the ideal of your gender.

Thanks my mums dad is 6'2 so 187-188. I kinda lean towards my mums side but still have genes from my dads.

Impossible to know, there are way too many variables. DNA, food intake, stress, your athleticism, bone density etc.
My oldest kid was about your height at your age and he's now about 190cm (6.2ft). I am 41 and much shorter (about 175cm).
