Another thing. You said you were on AT&T already and just put your sim in. Make sure you put a data plan on if your not already on an iPhone plan. The charges can rack up pretty quick

Oh alright haha, well yeah, sooner or later I'll figure which case I really want to stick with, and what little accessories I want to put on/use with it.

For cases, I'll be honest with you Switcheasy is a very awesome company to deal with - their customer service is excellent. I could attest you could get another Rebel with a color of what you prefer, or go for a sleek black Neo.

Congrats! I got an iPhone also :)

I have kept it naked because it just feels and looks amazing! My brother ordered my an Incipio ORION sleeve case so I don't have to cover my iPhone all the time. I can just slip it in a case to protect it when I am not using it :)

I guess if I scratch it up too much, I will get a case then :)

I was surprised by the battery the first two days because I was CONSTANTLY using all it has to offer! Once you get into the "groove" and learn the optimal settings for YOU it will be much better. I set my screen brightness to like 25% because the auto-brightness usually kicks in when I really need it. I turned wifi off and I set fetch to an hour. I had fetch at 15 minutes but it was just too insane for email. An hour is perfect to check for mail. If you really need something to manually check your mail!

Enjoy the phone! It is amazing!

Well, congrats to you then ;)

If you don't mind the hassle of installing skins, that will be a best shot to protect your iPhone from scratches since you want it close to being naked. There are lot of brands out there - Best Skin Ever, Zagg's Invisible Shield, Bodyguardz etc.

Christmas is the time to receive iPhones eh? ;)

I guess so! My mom gave up her phone upgrade on the family plan for me! It is impossible to show her how grateful I am!

The phone so far has stayed pretty scratch free! The only thing scratching is the apple logo. But the feel of the naked phone outweighs that! You only see scratches if you look up at it close!

I should receiving a sleeve for the phone soon :) I only really care that my phone's screen is protected. The screen protector has really pulled through for me in this case :)

I really hope some people enjoy this phone in its naked state for a little! If you are going to cover it with a full case anyways...why not dirty it up a little? :)

Thank you so much for your well-thought post!

You're welcome.

Almost forgot, MAKE SURE you can a screen protector.

I don't care what anyone else says, the best screen protector is and always will be the powersupport ANTI-GLARE screen protector.... not the powersupport crystal one.

The anti-glare makes the LCD look like an LCD monitor that isn't glossy..... but, it protects the screen very well, prevents any fingerprints or smudges, and looks great.

I cannot stand the look of the antiglare screen protectors.

That is an awesome case! I will definitely look into that.

Congrats OP, good lookin' iPhone and case (you'll probably end up with 3-4 cases like me). Have you used the headset yet? It just looks too neatly wrapped in the box...:p

Haha thank you, and I more than likely will. And I actually have not used the headset, my Mom got me these Nike Skylon Headphones which I really enjoy! I'm probably not going to use the headset either because I like to talk into the phone, not into a headset. :D

Thanks everybody for all the awesome replies! I appreciate it.

ive been doing more research on the switch easy case, apparently its the the 2nd highest rated case on ilounge.com which is definatly a positive, the other being SwitchEasy Colors, case. to the OP what do you think of the case, im contemplating ordering one, i couldn't really care for the screen protector id rather have it without for the smoothness, im just worried about dropping my iphone and it breaking, whats your take on the case? is it comfortable in your pocket? does the rubber interfer with slipping in and out of ur pocket or does the plastic help a lot with? does it feel sturdy? id like to know as much about this case as you or any of you are willing to provide! thanks!

When put on correctly, you can't even tell it's on the phone. When the phone is turned on, you REALLY can't tell at all.

I have to totally disagree with you. Anti glare protectors by there very nature change not only the texture of the screen, but also mutes the look of the screen as well.

I'm not Robinson Crusoe with these thoughts.

It's really a pretty nice case. Feels good when you're holding it, it does add a little weight/bulk to it but not too much. I'm definitely positive it would hold up against a drop, it's supported very well. The rubber does make you have to give a bit of a push to get in your pocket, but not a strenuous push. It's a comfortable case and will definitely keep your phone in good condition. I would advise you to clean it every other night or so, only because dirt can get under the case, which could potentially cause a threat to scratching it. But other than that, it's a pretty nice case.

how much of a pain is it in terms of taking the case on and off, im debating whether i want to buy a case or not, if i do, i want a really sleak and good case. But i also like having the option of using the iphone with the dock.

Taking it on and off isn't really a pain, you just want to be careful when you're doing it to not scratch it accidentally. And I don't have a dock, so I could tell you how that would work out.

re. switcheasy cases.

i just bought the switcheasy rebel touch for my ipod touch 2g, after some intense and obsessive shopping. i was looking for a case that would offer some protection against the most obvious insults that i might unintentionally inflict on it.

i carry mine in my front pants pocket, so needed a case that would absorb a bit of shock if dropped (which seems to be pretty much the best that any of them do); that would somewhat protect it against rain (i can never seem to remember an umbrella); and that would protect it against spare change.

the switcheasy rebel touch does not have the best-ever screen protection -- just a sticky membrane (it comes with two - in case of mess-ups?). my screen protector is not 'grabbed' around all of its edges by the case, but i didn't do the most brilliant job of affixing it, either.

the case itself is not very 'sticky', which i consider a 'feature', because i could just see it hanging up on my pocket and flying out of my hand; but its texture gives it a bit more 'grippiness' when i'm holding it. best of both worlds.

i looked at a lot of cases in person before ordering online. they mostly appear to do most of the same stuff. the thing that sold me on this one is --

there's a nice, tight-fitting cover for the charger-connector port, and the control buttons -- volume, on/off -- are completely covered while remaining usable. (some of the other cases do this second thing.)

the really main thing to me, was, "man, if i get a dime wedged into the charger port, i'm done. i *want* that covered."

this case comes with a little standy-thing for propping it up to watch videos (i'd use this on my desk if i had any videos loaded, but a plastic desktop business-card holder from target will do the same job); a headphone-jack extender for non-apple earbud jacks; the port cover and an extra screen protector sheet (both mentioned above).

my case was not quite $30. so i think you really scored getting this one for free. (as long as it has the little port cover-plug!)
