Okay, great...took a little while to get everything tracked down. And I think time zone issues between the various parties, along with a weekends and a U.S. holiday, slowed things down a bit.

Please do let us know if anyone sees them pop up again.

The ads are back for me again, and absolutely annoying they are! Can't scroll anywhere

Think I've temporarily patched it while we get it removed from our rotation

Hi there, the intrusive ads by the vtopia adserver seem to be popping up on the home page again. Aussie user

Yes, I was about to write this too, but was running late for work in the morning. Aussie, here, too. It only showed up once today. But I'm not sure if that means it's a cyclical thing, or not.

I just noticed I have had another vdopia VIDEO ad running this morning. Thankfully I was on my home wifi when it came up. Why does this keep recurring for? I thought it was taken out of the loop?

FFS MR get a grip on this please, it may be a crappy ad, it may be served to you by the ad server but this is YOUR site and YOUR readers screwed about by these ad issues on various platforms.

TBH Im getting over this, its just getting too hard.

Is this specific ad appearing for you again? Can you send a screenshot to me arn@normalkid.com

Thanks

I dont get to see the ad, I get the page crash. I am in NZ so likely to get ads from the same source.

Be nice to see you turn the ads off for regions where and when this is reported as occurring, not sure how alienating your readership helps you or the ad vendors?

I understand you are frustrated but I'm trying to get more information. If it's a crashing problem and not an unwanted-video ad problem, it's a very different problem.

Well look through your logs, you should see groups of page reloads for me in quick succession then be able to relate that to the ads being served.

Sorry but your "perhaps its a bad ad" comment I found very poor, imagine such a "bad ad" being served almost every page load and you might start to understand.

Its beyond frustrating, it makes the site literally unusable, I posted this by stopping the page load mid-load until eventually I get a usable page.

Interesting that the usual approach to this is to ad-block eh? (Havent found one that runs on a Mini1, but again this is the only site I have an issue with).
