Sorry I laugh every time I see a thread start with the word Bricked in it. I seen so many claim to be be bricked but not one has actually stepped up to the plate of being Bricked. at least not in a very very long time.

I am very glad for the DFU restore mechanism on the iPhone. Some Android phones don't have it, nor a mechanism to boot to a recovery screen, so if someone trashes the phone's filesystem, it either gets exchanged or goes in the garbage.
