I need help. I canceled my 6+ pre-order after the reviews came out and ordered a 6. But then after thinking about it I realized I do want the Plus, especially with the rumors of the 6 having major heat issues.

Is there any way I can get my original pre-order re-instated? It was set to deliver the first week of October and now the current ship estimate is 3-4 weeks :(

You are pretty much screwed and the order will not be reinstated.

I'm sorry but that's a terrible business practice by Apple. So as a loyal customer who just wanted to switch phones I now have to get my phone weeks after people who dont care about apple and just randomly wanted an iphone. Im sorry thats BS.

Sorry, Apple owes you nothing. Good luck, though. You may want to wait to handle the 6+ at this point anyway.

So it's Apple's fault you cancelled your order and they didn't predict you'd change your mind and reserve a phone for you?

I am speechless. And that's rare.

Linky or you stinky. The only thing I read was that the 6 gets warmer than the 6 Plus and to tell you the truth- they're all going to get warm. They're amazingly capable computers that fit into your pocket and don't have fans or finned heat sinks. My 5 get's what I would consider extremely hot at times but only a few times has it even been hot enough for the phone itself to react by limiting input power and dimming the screen. Which tells me it was just fine.

That's a really piss poor way to look at it. Sorry bud, you're going to have to deal with it like many many other people. Life isn't fair sometimes.

When you cancelled, it probably opened up for someone else. These things are in high demand. Now imagine that Apple would cancel their preorder and be like "oh sorry some guy who cancelled wants his back, so we're going to cancel yours that was ordered and actually kept". Now that would be a terrible business practice!

Lol. This can't be real

You're joking right? How is that Apple's problem? YOU made the decision to cancel the order. Why can't you claim responsibility for your own actions and move on?

I can't imagine the logistical nightmare Apple would have if they had to put a hold on cancelled pre orders so the 'oh so precious customer', who couldn't make up their mind can reinstate it if they wake up and decide they want their order back. All while millions of phones are being produced and shipped out.

As someone who works in retail, I absolutely hate customers who feel they are entitled to everything and the business should just stop what they are doing and cater to their every request. You have to grow up and take responsibility for your own decisions and not place blame on the innocent party. Sadly, this is the mentality people have these days...

One person reported the 6 got warm after a heavy video game. No way of knowing what his metric was. And that was the only report I've heard ... and I've read almost every review out there.

I sincerely doubt all the time and engineering that goes into these phones resulted in something that's got 'major heat issues'.

Entitlement sentiment much?

Why would you cancel the 6+ after the reviews? I didn't see any saying that the 6+ was bad, only that it was too big for that particular person.

The 6 is definitely looking more lucrative after seeing some of the reviews, the OIS was what I was mainly concerned about, which appears to be a negligible advantage. The electronic image stabilization appears solid.

Thank god for natural selection. You snooze you lose. Don't ever reproduce

I've been an Apple user since the early 90's and I have probaby bought $100,000 worth of Apple products over the years. I guess Apple should hold me a gold plated version of each of their latest product and give them to me for free when I come up to the genius bar

One of the worst decisions of all time you could have sell it.

Try the iphone 6 maybe you like it and if you don't like it you can sell it for some extra money.

This can't be life. I refuse to believe that this is real. If so, HILARIOUS on all fronts.

But we don't really have natural selection...

Natural selection- if you become deathly ill, you die if your body doesn't fight it off.

What we have- keep you alive and kicking with modern medicine.

Natural selection- you put your pee pee in a light socket and lose your ability to reproduce.

What we have- oh that's ok, let's just grab that semen sample so you can still have a baby.

Anyone ever watch Idiocracy? Humanity is not getting smarter... Only the strong survive is how it should be working, how it has been since the dawn of time... but not anymore. We keep everyone around and water down the gene pool with what some refer to as 'useless eaters'... their words not mine.

Back on topic lol...

OP- I hope you've learned your lesson! :p

I'm pretty sure this is just a troll. In either case, it's really pathetic.

A person who randomly wanted an iPhone paid, and is just as entitled to getting one as everyone else who pre-ordered.

I don't see at all how this is Apple's fault. When you cancel your pre-order, you are basically terminating an implied contract with Apple. What about all the other potential customers who are waiting in line? If OP knew that there was a possibility that he/she might actually want the 6 Plus, he/she should have just made a separate pre-order for the 6 first.

How is that B.S.? You decided to cancel the order at no fault of Apple's. Plus, those people you mention got up early like you did, went through the same issues you did ordering and everything and some won't even receive their phone until next month. You can try lining up tomorrow night but otherwise your SOL.

Also, that's pretty much the standard business practice; first come first served. You were in with the first come crowd, but canceled so someone else got your phone.
