You, sir, do not deserve an iPhone 6 of any kind. I'm sure they will set you up with a nice 5C in any color you want.

I'm sorry but that's a terrible business practice by Apple. So as a loyal customer who just wanted to switch phones I now have to get my phone weeks after people who dont care about apple and just randomly wanted an iphone. Im sorry thats BS.

I think you may be overreacting. I completely understand what you're saying about those people who just randomly wanted an iPhone. Such BS that they might get one before you because you're simply trying to decide between two awesome options. I was having the same issue. I ordered both and that way I can test them and use the one I want and save the other to use as an iPod.

Now, I think I may have a solution to the problem. I'm sorry that so many others have been ribbing you and not trying to help. I think everyone is just a little on edge because of this launch and the pre order debacle. I mean 4 million phones in 24 hours. Clearly there are a bunch of "new" Apple people buying these phones. Ridiculous if you ask me. This is a private club for those in the know. These hooligans can't just be showing up and buying the iPhones that rightly belong to us. The worst thing that can happen is for more people to be exposed to the technology driving up demand for developers to make more and better apps. Why fix what isn't broken - am I right?

So here is my suggestion. It worked for me last year when I cancelled my 5S gold preorder in favor of space grey but then realized I really did want the gold.

Get to the apple store early on Friday and MAKE SURE you have your Apple Loyalty Card. Obviously, being that you are a longtime customer, I assume you have yours that has tracked all of your purchases. The reason I say to bring the physical card itself is because you don't want to take the chance of the Apple Loyalty App not working on your iPhone. Lots of people there for the launch, the wifi will be bogged down. It just isn't worth taking the chance. Take your actual card.

Now, there will be a team leader organizing things. You should easily be able to identify him/her by the way they are dealing with the other employees. Get this person's attention. Show them your card and explain the situation. It would also help to have printouts of your preorder and the cancellation. Most importantly - be honest. Tell them you ordered a phone, cancelled it because of what you read on the internet, and now want to reinstate that order. Again, this is where having your card is important. A) they will immediately know you are an important, long-time customer and B) they will need to scan the QR code on your card to override the DOA stock processing system.

So basically, if you handle it properly, they will be able to reinstate your original preorder and pull the phone from the reserve DOA stock. Hopefully, you will even be able to jump ahead of the posers who are buying their first iPhone. I mean, if you haven't had an iPhone since the original, you should just stick to android or better yet, Windows.

Good luck, OP. Let us know how you make out.

Bud just wait in line. You have time to make your decision and a last minute decision could potentially be your best decision

Even if he has the card, won't he need the appletanium ring for the re-order because it's launch day? It's pretty obvious to me you aren't really a loyalty member if you don't remember that from the 4 day workshop...

Ahhh. Great point. I was in such a rush to type that out, I totally forgot. Good catch!

Is your money worth more an theirs?

Don't make impulse decisions. Lesson learned. Cancel your 6 order, grab a tailgate chair, and go stand in line.

Place your preorder now with AT&T. I think they're running a last ordered-first served special...but hurry, it's for a limited time only. ;)

I need help. I canceled my 6+ pre-order after the reviews came out and ordered a 6. But then after thinking about it I realized I do want the Plus, especially with the rumors of the 6 having major heat issues.

Is there any way I can get my original pre-order re-instated? It was set to deliver the first week of October and now the current ship estimate is 3-4 weeks :(
Uh, you can wait then. That is the best you can do and you do not, in any way shape or form, NEED an iPhone right away. You can absolutely use the iPhone you have because as a "loyal" customer, I'm sure you have one today. Now think about this, who has the iPhone 6 today? Who is reporting "major heat issues" because frankly, the amount of people with an iPhone 6 is absolutely limited to this date and frankly, I would say that they may have experienced a difference in heat but "major heat issues" doesn't qualify at all.

This is why people like you need to wait. It is not BS. How do you know people who are getting the iPhone do not care about Apple? Do you really care about Apple? They're a ***** company that sells crap we all like. I don't care about them but yet I'll be getting my iPhone before you. I waited to see what I thought was the one I wanted and ordered last night. I'll get it around the 6th and as it stands, I don't think I'll regret my decision.

You are not better than anyone here and this attitude makes you worse. How are you a loyal customer? Because you've had a couple of iPhones? Maybe an iPod? Your attitude suggests that you're very young because you don't quite know how the world works. That is not something I can blame on you but if you're an adult, then I am unsure how you can muddle through life with that kind of attitude.

Your order cannot be reinstated as you, the consumer, cancelled the order without hesitation.

You know all you can do is put in another order.

Wow.
He may be or he may not be but really...

Just calling it like I see it.

"Uh....excuse me. I jumped the gun and cancelled my 6Plus order because I panicked when reading the reviews. I realized I made a mistake and would like to go ahead and cut in front of the line even though I gave up my spot. Could you please make that happen?"

You cancelled your order. You lost your spot. Whether you were going to get it tomorrow or later. Go to the back of the line.

real solution:

wait for someone else to start a thread claiming they canceled a 6 order after they saw all these macrumors regulars justifying how amazing it's going to be to have a phone the size of a pop-tart to talk on, but now realize they really just wanted the 6.

then, propose the trade.

perfect solution ;)

I know this will be rubbing salt into the wound....I have been convinced the 6+ will be to big for me but I really wish I had purchased one for my wife at least so then I can be sure. Don't tell 'zboater', he will never let me hear the end of it ;)

Oh well, if it ends up being not to big will buy the 6s+ next year when it has 2GB of RAM, or maybe it will have 4GB of RAM.
