Unless your phone contract just happens to be up for renewal, theres no way in hell Id buy an iphone at full price or anything remotely close to it. Even with my contract just renewed this past week and had the oppurtunity to get a free phone, I went Android and couldnt be happier.

It's simple... In the end it's about individual, and in this case it's "you"
You have to figure out the pros and cons of how you will use it, if you feel like you will use the iPhone 5s more.. Go with that.
If you feel like you'll use the iPads more, go with that. I've always been in favor of going over the pros and cons of any decision, cause in the end it will help in justifying why you went with it... It would be no second guessing yourself.
