...as Adidas bought out Reebok and therefore Liverpool now have Adidas kits
Reebok still exist as a brand though, right – albeit as a subsidiary of Adidas? I'm sure that there are other teams still wearing Reebok branded apparel (West Ham and Manchester City spring to mind) and Bolton certainly haven't renamed their ground – the Adidas Arena, anyone? :D

very true (as far as i know). Liverpool did have Adidas for their kits years ago, and were successful too. not exactly sure why they didn't stay with Reebok now you mention it, maybe to "return" to that era?

If I was a little more mean-spirited, I might suggest that the powers that be at Adidas would much rather see their logo on a Liverpool shirt than they would on a Bolton shirt – but I'm not, so I won't suggest that. :D ;)

I'd just like to point out that newcastle won 2day despite only making 1 signing by the way of damien duff, who by the way is very exciting to watch:)

Roeders gonna get 3 more signings in the next fortnight then we'll be challenging for the UEFA cup properly!

As u can tell im a newcastle supporter and im going there for Uni too!

but if u dont like the magpies who are actually just about the most fiercly supported team in the EPL then id choose arsenal or liverpool.

Aston Villa

aloofman, I implore you – whatever you do, even if you don't listen to anything else I ever tell you – do not under any circumstances follow the example set by one of your fellow countrymen. Great pain, anguish and humiliation will follow, I guarantee it. And we don't want that for you. :(

Haha, I was actually showing a friend the story on A.V.'s website you spoke about and came across this posting in my search to find that link. You see I am that countryman who chose Aston Villa. Yeah, things look tough now, but I do expect a bright future. And in any case there's always that highlight reel DVD of the European Championship in 82 :) And I think I'm off to a proper start, even I wasn't too optimistic when they started the season strong. In any case I'm loving rooting for the Claret and Blue and haven't had any second thoughts about going for one of the big four.
