Lol! Of course its not bad looking. I can fool 9 out of 10 people from a distance, until you actually hold it in your hand.A little too ghetto for me.
But not bad looking.

Gotta say that's quite a nice option for the price. Had me fooled just scrolling the thread.Lol! Of course its not bad looking. I can fool 9 out of 10 people from a distance, until you actually hold it in your hand.
Thanks for all the feedback. I plan to go with the SS version but will wait until Apple release version 2. I'll pickup a used Sport version for now so I can make sure I'll actually use the functionality enough to justify the price for the SS. Hopefully we'll see v2 in June but I'm guessing it will be Sept.

The Sport can withstand being dropped, it's screen is much better in terms of anti glare BUT it's prone to scratches on the screen, whereas the SS can withstand scratching to it's screen, the case you can just polish hairline scratches BUT if you drop this version, the screen will most likely shatter.
Are you to type to have always worn a watch? Then the SS.
If you've never or rarely worn a watch til now, then Sport.
Also, I'm personally going to put up the money for an Apple link bracelet if I end up keeping mine past the return date.
I remain unconvinced with the third party bands and the tool-free adjustment feature of the Apple link bracelet intrigues me and I want to try it for myself. So, I would recommend an Apple band, myself.
I think the whole dropping thing has been way overblown for the SS. First, it's not like an iPhone where you're constantly picking it up, putting it down, pulling it out of pockets, etc. It's strapped to your wrist and stays there all day. Second, they way you describe it would have one believe the screen will shatter with just about any fall. I've dropped my SS onto tile floor a couple of times now and it's been just fine. Third, I've been convinced for years that sapphire is the best material for watch crystals. My 14 year old TAG's crystal looks as good as the day I got it, and that thing has been slammed into more doors an walls than I care to think about.
I ended up getting a used SS off eBay for $415. The guy kept a case and screen protector on it so it's in mint condition. Looking at what most sports were selling for (~$260), I decided to spend the extra money and get the SS. I figure the resale should still be close to that when Apple releases a new version, and if the new version isn't enough of an upgrade over this one then I've already got the one I wanted and saved money over what a new one costs. Now I can't wait to get it in and start using it!
Really? Your Best Buy has new Stainless Steel Apple Watches for less than $400? I'd go ahead and buy as many as you can and resale them for a nice profit.
Best buy doesn't seem to have the 42mm stainless version with sport band available for $399. Unless you want to go for a space black, your only option would be 42mm with Milanese loop for $499 plus tax. As long as your used watch is in mint condition as stated, you didn't get ripped off. The only thing you're missing out on is the full year of applecare. If you're lucky the current owner didn't buy it long ago and you still have most of the year remaining.Dang - I see that now...
All best buys have them on sale for $399 right now. SBSS with Sport Band.
$499 for SS with ML.
Actually not sure about the SS but the SBSS is $399 for sure.
