Having now owned both I much prefer the 9.7". The 9.7" size in my opinion is the sweet spot.
I think 9.7 is definitely th best size, 12.9" is just ridiculous

9.7 is a terrific size. 12.9 has its advantages. If I were going to continue to use my iPads strictly as tablets, I'd stick with 9.7. With the hope/expectation of doing more, I'm finding the 12.9 helpful... even if it is large enough to block out the sun of a small city.I think 9.7 is definitely th best size, 12.9" is just ridiculous

I may look ridiculous. But I am loving using a 13 inch tablet on an elliptical this last week. Now that I no longer have a full body case on it it's less of a pain to carry too. I'm still really torn especially since it's iPad day! If it wasn't for the better and brighter screen of the Pro 9.7 I think I would be sticking with the 12.9.9.7 is a terrific size. 12.9 has its advantages. 12.9" screen + keyboard, might as well carry around my MacBook with that large of a footprint
I don't really care for the keyboard. But using a 13 inch tablet on an elliptical is like watching a big screen tv in comparison to the 9.7. I know the logical choice for me is the 9.7 but the luxury of having this giant screen... And at nearly the same price as the 32gb 9.7, so hard to give up.
sell "more" but at a higher percentage loss. You won't get back that extra $150 you spent. More like $60-75 at best. Currently I am only seeing a $52 margin between a 16gb Air 2 and a 64gb... But you paid $100 more off the bat.the 128gb will sell for more later so to me its a no brainer
Been doing it all week. Who cares. I'm watching a big screen tv so everyone else looking at me can suck it.iPad Pro 12.9" on the treadmill? LOL, that would actually be hilarious to see
Yes, that is the conventional wisdom. I don't see any fault in that... I've done that for many years.12.9" screen + keyboard, might as well carry around my MacBook with that large of a footprint

Entry level models are the ones with lowest margin loss from my experience.

True but my point wasn't that you'll recover all your losses anyway, just a portion of them later.
Lets say you buy the 128gb for $150 more, and later you sell it for $70 more than 32GB, then the upgrade cost $80. Then you have to ask yourself if the $80 for 4x more space was worth it. Personally for me it was because I noticed I'm using 22gb of storage on my phone, and I'll need even more on my ipad for movies and games. Since Apple are nasty and don't give us USB, external storage solutions are cumbersome, expensive and low volume.
Plenty good for me - looking forward to my new 9.7" iPP on Thursday.
