Wow, you did it! 🎉 Congrats on getting your new iPhone 16PM! I’m so excited for you! It’s such a big upgrade, especially since we’ve skipped a whole generation of iPhones over the past 6-7 years.
You know, getting an iPhone generations newer instead of every single year is like future-proofing yourself. If you tend to drop your phone or have to take it to the Genius Bar a lot, I highly recommend getting AppleCare+. I know I might think of it someday, but I rarely drop my phone or damage it, even though I’m a case collector. You can check out the prompt in the settings app or go to the Apple support app to learn more about AppleCare+.
Now, if you bought your iPhone from a third party like eBay or Amazon, you can get an Apple Genius to check it out if you never saw the AppleCare prompt in settings. I asked the Apple Store about it because a few iPhone users told me they got extended coverage beyond the usual 3 months. The manual addition of AppleCare requires you to own the iPhone for less than a year or if it gets damaged in any way and you bring it to the Apple Store for repair.
I only had my first Apple Watch Series 1 damaged with a screen separation and scratches, which is pretty much expected for an entry-level Apple Watch model that I owned for over 8 years. But with my current gold stainless steel Apple Watch Series 6, which I’ve had for a year now, I’ve kept it really good. There are no scratches on the watch face, it still looks really nice! I put it in a clear case once a week when I go to machining class on Tuesday afternoon to keep it intact.
That’s awesome that you got the deal on the lake green case and trade-in credit! They marked the case down 10%, right? By the way, I told the specialist the other day when I let go of my Apple Watch Series 1 for recycling and got a deal on the sport loop. Since I told him it was my birthday last weekend, he slipped in a half-off discount on the new strap.
Oh, and they did apply the Belkin screen protector on your iPhone, right?
