I am trying to port my number into ATT corporate account. It is $199 for 32gb 6s+ and $319 for 32gb iphone 7+. I do not do lot of gaming. Kids plays on my phone some time. I have LG G4 with terrible battery life and model with some boot trap issues. Trying to move to Apple who always provided batter battery life, os support and quality phone. I am going to use it to check mails, surfing and occasional video/games. Please help me with my choice. I would like to put in request asap.

My vitriol for the iPhone 7/7+ is well known here. However, this late in the game, I'd suggest the iPhone 7+. Outwardly, it's nearly identical to the 6s+ but internally the difference is 1GB of ram as well as other improved internals.

The 6s+ design is also over a year and a half old so the 7+ will have more longetivity.

Thanks for the information. I never used iphone before. Spouse has iPhone 6s. Checked out 7+ in store. Home button is kinda very different than 6s and felt unresponsive. I like Apple and Samsung physical home button feel. But it is not an issue. How advanced hardware specs of 7+ compared to 6s+. It has 1gb extra Ram and faster processor which might not be an issue for me. 6s+ seems to be still lot faster than lot of other phones in market. Camera is also good on 7+. Are there differences in terms of hardware performance between 32gb and 128gb versions?

Then again the new 2017 iPad replacing the Air 2 has the same A9 chip, which means the 6s should still have plenty of life left in it. Considering most people only keep their phones for 2ish years anyways.

The 7 Plus is a much more refined iPhone internally over the 6s Plus. Physically they are nearly identical with the exception of the deleted 3.5 Jack And with the dual camera.

The 7 Plus has outstanding sound quality with the stereo speakers and additionally has two hours of battery life over the 6s Plus, which would be appreciated with your gaming needs you mentioned.

Being you have children, the dual camera is nice to have with the 10x optical Zoom for long distance shots and Portrait Mode is an interesting camera feature exclusive to the 7 Plus.

The 7 Plus seems more responsive over the 6s Plus with the A10 Fusion processor and 3 GB of Ram.

The only difference with the 128/256GB models is the write speed makes the iPhone reportedly quicker over the smaller storage models. But other forum members have mentioned it's not truly all that noticeable.

The Haptic home button is interesting, but isn't truly an advantage over the 6s Plus home button. The 7 Plus also has a IP67 Water resistance rating.

On the flip side if the kids inadvertently damage, or destroy/loose the phone, the repair costs, or replacement will be higher.

That would be regardless no matter Phone the OP owns, not just an iPhone. Clearly the OP is comfortable allowing the children to handle the Phone.

Another suggestion: Check the Apple refurbished on line store as they now have refurbished iPhones including a very large number of 6s+ models. All are like new and come with the one year Apple care warranty.

Also, my experience with the 6s+ and the 7+ battery life is different from that of member "Relentless Power". I have both and find very little difference in how long each battery lasts between charges. Of course that may be just the way we use our phones. Your mileage may vary.... ;)

Agree with you on battery life, no way iPhone 7 Plus gives additional two hours battery life over iPhone 6S Plus with same usage on both. The difference is minimal

Kids play minecraft, pixel gun and plant zombie sort of games once in a while. I will be travelling with my new job. So reading, surfing, music and videos during travel.

Yeah…I'm the exception. :D

We keep them until we get new ones and they move down to secondary devices. Never sell, so they get kept a good long time.

I am buying from Carporate website. I am responsible to pay discounted device price. 6S+ price is $200 and 7+ is for $320. Both of them are 32gb versions.

Hi,
Thanks for the information. Is this sound quality noticeable during call with speaker? Thanks for 10x zoom functionality. I thought it has 2 cameras fitted with 30mm and 50mm prime lens. I have my own Canon camera and lens for taking family pictures. Phone camera is a back up for me. Refined internals with A10 processor and 3GB Ram are the big difference.
Are there any issues with ATT version (intel chipset making performance slow). Thanks

Also wondering with 1080p screen, are we going to see noticeable performance improvement with 7+ with faster processor and bigger Ram?

The speakerphone function is a huge difference with the stereo speakers, because the top earpiece and bottom speaker act as two separate units for the sound, which is much louder than the 6s.

I cannot speak to the AT&T version or any chipsets regarding that specific carrier.

Correct, the 6sPlus/7 Plus has a 1080 P display. As far as performance goes, yes, I feel the 7+ is faster over the 6S plus with the A10 Fusion. And the additional ram with the 7 Plus as stated before, does make a difference with less refreshes and multitasking.

Things in iPhone 7 which are different then iPhone 6s
1) There are no headphone jack
2)You have 2 more color options that is jet black and matte black
3)There is also a difference in the home button
4)Front camera of 6s is 5 mp whereas 7 on the iPhone 7

In fairness, your post is misleading to the Op. You're saying there's "No way", when The iPhone has an additional two hours of battery life as stated from Apple due to the efficiency the A-10 fusion processor and deleted 3.5 mm Jack.

Rather you achieve those results, is all user based and everyone will vary. The concern is likely with 'Your' iPhone 7 Plus, perhaps it's software related or an application you use, or if you attempted to restore from back up versus setting up as a new device, user settings, etc. There are a lot of variables that could contribute to The battery. But to post "No Way" is an exaggeration when the specifications do list this, even if you don't agree with it.

Most of the people here using iphones for so long. are you guys able to make a switch to 7 home button without any issues. checked some videos on youtube. there is not much performance issue between them. wit 1080p screen and my usage, i might never realise a10 potential. Thanks

To jack or not to jack, that is the final question. I held off upgrading to the 7 because of this.

The 7 Plus has 2x optical zoom, not 10x.

If you can afford the 7+ then forget the 6S+. Your G4 might have issues but if you can hold out for the 8 I'd do that. It's likely to be leaps and bounds beyond the 7.

I have a 6 Plus and spent some time with 7 and 7 Plus in a store. After using the new home button for a while, my 6+ button and the ones on the 6S models on display felt clunky and almost out dated. Just a lot slicker.

If you plan to keep your new phone for a number of years, get the 7 for longevity. If not, the 6S option will probably work for you.

I couldn't decide between them and ordered 32gb 6s+. Then I started feeling for 7+. It is just another $130. I tried cancelling my order but it went to fulfillment status. I am going to travel from next week. I might not be able to get it by Friday if I cancel the order. It takes another 1-2 business days for cancel to take affect then only system allows me to reorder. It might not be a big deal in terms of my usage requirements. If they delay order, may be I can try cancellation process. Thanks for all the feedback.
[doublepost=1492051957][/doublepost]Does iphone 7+ come with earpods compatible with lightning port or just a adapter to 3.5mm jack?
