My new iMAC is so nice looking it just didn't look right on that cheap desk I was using. So I upgraded, yes I am a cheapskate but I think it looks at least a little nicer....

hey , I got another question. I decided to go ahead and install the ilife disc my iMac came with. While it was installing I saw names that were in the dock, hmm so I called the dealer I bought it from. He confirmed what I thought, I was installing something that was already on my iMac. I was like hmm, why did it not tell me this was already installed. He said don't worry , it will just install it again. This was earlier today. Awhile ago I was seeing some buggy think in Safari , I checked for updates and I needed a bunch, so apparanty it installed a clean copy of ilife and erased what was in the PC .

Am I off or what? This is not windows kinda stuff.

Id appreciate an explanation of all this and if you can give me ant tips id appreciate it.

thanks guys

Technically, if you go to the customise option on an install, if its already installed, the programs are highlighted as skipped. If it did install anything, it could have been extra Garageband items that might not have been on. Not too sure but it's nothing to worry about.

Also, it's always good to run Software Update every now and then to make sure you're Mac is fully upto date.
