HOLY PETUNIAS! Those things look really nice! How do they fair in the near-field environment? I know the Klipsch Ifis are just as excellent, if not more so, for near-field listening and mix downs, than far-field, or..further field😛
What kind of music do you make psycho? Does your name have any description of it?😀
Also, what are you using to power the Yamahas?
Peace
They sound very nice in my near field mode. When I kick it to casual listening I move some where that I can play stuff louder with some more balls, like my basement. Since I took them songs thats I've listened to hundreds of times sounds new.
At the moment I don't make music, but I record. Currently recording my friends band, we are both learning this recording/producing/mastering from the ground up at the moment, and it's going well. We've invested roughly $1400 CND in mic's and hardware and software, my friend just needs to learn how to sing
😉 . When (IF) I get a job, I will be getting a crappy set of drums and electric guitar, not so much as to play, but to learn how to make them sound good when recorded. I will design and build the head amp my self, as I am an Electrical Technician graduate
🙂.
Powering the Yamaha's is a Yamaha. Just their low end RX-396 stereo receiver, sounds like any other solid state amplifier, what goes in is what comes out. I am also planning on making a high current amp when I get some real monitors. Oddly enough my house has got Yamaha's every where, I haven't found a more feature fill Surround Receiver that was anywhere as easy to use as a Yamaha, even the low end ones
🙂. Oh god, i just remembered when I tired to use my friends Onkyo...
