i'm settled down lol...allright, allright, settle down. This is why I said its all subjective (meaning: to each his own)
And I agree, a macbook pro should be able to last 6 years, maybe more. I don't necessarily advocate going and buying the next upgrades as soon as apple releases them (as I said in my last post; one option for me would be to keep my machine and "run it into the ground" which I hope would take at least a few years - if not then my faith in apple will be severely shaken. But we'll just have to wait until then)
All Im saying is... it only takes a couple rounds of playing Call of Duty before someone can become a full-time gamer (as scary as it is) - and I know I can't speak for him, but its always nice to have the flexibility if you can afford it.
I was just saying he isn't trying to spend that much money, he already said that, he also said he won't game.... guess we should all just ignore what a poster says they will use the machine for and start recommending specs based on what WE (people who don't know them at all) think that they MIGHT do with the machine 2 years from now.
