Help! On vacation and just dropped my iPad. Can I do this?

Well I went and I got a new iPad. I walked in, he told me there was a $249 charge for a new iPad. He then said, I'll be right back. He came back and said, the damage is minimal. Give me $49 and buy the AppleCare+ for an additional $49. I informed him that I believe the AppleCare+ was $99. He said because you are replacing your iPad, we can discount it. All in all, I paid about $118 after tax, for both my new iPad and AppleCare+.

Not a bad deal at all!

I said that because I didn't want to be paying for something and maybe I misunderstood him that the AppleCare+ was cheaper. Doesn't hurt to be honest.

It is on the pier. It's called the Pier at Caesars. You basically walk across the boardwalk and into the pier. It's like a shopping mall. For those of you who remember it before they remodeled it, the Pier used to be the old Ocean One Mall with all the arcades.

They are ensuring your repeat business in the future, and of course you tell people (like us on here) about an unusually good service. Well done to the staff member. Apple's Genius Bar is there to offer customer service for Apple products, they don't care where you bought it.

So happy for you, my experience with Apple so far has always been good. Seems as though if you work with them they go the extra mile.
