Sounds like "training wheels", can't you turn it off or something. How do you install other apps?

Like I said before, your iPod can only be used on one computer so that rules out your library or school options, hope your friend likes spending some quality time with you! :p

it can be turned off i tried never worked left it there, im getting a computer to my self and its going to be a mac or a windows xp

if i understand this correctly, it isn't much of a problem.

so, you get the connect to iTunes button, right?
ok.
when you connect to iTunes, it says your iPod is not yet registered, correct?

I think all you have to do is go throught the steps of registering your new/replacement iPod Touch.

are you getting theses screens?

if you are, just follow the steps. once you have done that, sync and eject iPod Touch. then plug it back in. if it prompts you to register again, choose "Never Register" (that may not be the exact wording)

hope that helps.

well, first plan of action, is get ur parent s or who ever to kill off that old DEP prog. , then actually install itunes .after that, i would register ur ipod and then enjoy it.
