Yes a lot of books and someother stuff too like Coke bottles and other trickety things. Wait a second, the Lilliehammer is not made of wood? I might have to reconsider that.

The Lillehammer is particleboard covered by a wood-like foil. The Malm is particleboard covered by a veneer. The veneer is thicker than the foil...so if you are rough with your furniture now, you might consider the veneer. Best thing to do is check them out in person.

For the books and collectibles...even though you said you prefered wall mounted shelves, I'd recommend an actual bookcase (especially for the actual books). The Expedit bookcase comes birch and is a couple different sizes, the Lack comes in a dark brown/black color, red and white. They have other options in that collection as well (including wall-mounted shelves).
