(not too old to resurrect I hope...)

Could I use this cable to connect my PC (Geforce 560 Ti with Mini HDMI) to my 2009 iMac? I want to free some space in my room and this would be perfect!

[edit] I already got a Mini-HDMI to HDMI adapter for the GeForce btw.

Unfortunately it seems I can't. The adapter works fine with another monitor, as does the cable, but I can't seem to get my iMac recognize the signal from the PC's mini HDMI port. :(

the question is: Is not supported bcse of the hardware, or software?

If its a software problem, a simple patch in the future could fix this, right?

This is horrible. So in order to play in HD I need to buy a $200 thing?
Well, i think that has not been mentioned here, yet, but there is a free way to connect your PS3 with every pc and mac (including all models). Some years ago sony has created a software only for vaio laptops, called: Remote Play, that allows sony users to connect there pS3 and PSP to their computer and play them everywhere. There is a way to instal it, on every computers with windows 7. Just follow this article: http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/7225...non-sony-vaio-windows-7-pc-ps3-firmware-3-30/
