My grandmother came off the boat from Scottland-I'm Stuart not Ste wart.

Go with Stuart.

Stuart was the name of a kid in my elementary class that used to pull his eyebrows out at his desk. So nix to that:p

Aaron, Aiden both are nice names.

Scott is fairly common but a decent name.

And of course, Thomas is the best name ever. ;)

Best ever, eh....... hmmmmm.... that's a good argument.....:p

Name him Alan!

I am going to name my baby boy Parker Laine. :)

No on Alan..... that is the name of one of my wife's long-term ex-boyfriends.....

Calder is always a good name.

But one that starts with A, S or H..

Aiden is nice, or maybe Hubert...

Boys name A S H

Those are for girls, name

Adler, Sergio, Homer
Adam, Sergio, Howe
Adler, Sega, Hervan
Abe, Simon, Heiden

Atticus!

Hayden has a certain cachet, but the actor's pretty much ruined it. If I ever see a kid with that name, all I'll think of is "You've killed the Yuenglings!"

Harvey? Hedwig? Huckleberry?

This place says Humvee is a name. Name your daughter Jeep.

I'll vote Hank as an H name.

And I've never met an adult named Skyler. I wonder if those kids ever grow up.

... for some reason I'm drawn to Dylan ...

mt

Harley-I think its more of girl name but I suppose it could work for a boy

Harland- there's a player on Miami's team named harland gunn who's from Omaha and I always thought it had a nice ring to it

Harper

Firstly congratulations!

Me and the missus had twin boys last year. We chose biblical names Shiloh and Asher for our sons.

Congratulations. An exciting journey by all accounts!

I would have suggested Alexander/Alexandra as great solid names but you already said you have ruled those out.

A:

boy - I only like ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΣ
girl - Alessia

H:

boy - Horacio
girl - Helena

S:

girl - Samantha

Personally I don't have kids yet but if I ever do one day then be it a daughter or son they are getting my name as their middle name.

Oh and I have discovered in searching that boys names seem to be a lot harder than girls to pick out...

I'm drawn to the name 'Dylan' too, but it would be too obvious of a choice if I did that. Family/friends would roll their eyes and say "figures". So no on Dylan (plus it doesn't fit into my AHS requirements).

I had a friend named Harley (who is a guy), and I used to know a girl whose name is Harley Davidson. I s**t you not.

Harland: whenever I hear that name, I always think of this goofy guy:

Harper..... too To Kill A Mockingbird-ish.:p

Thank you.

Thanks for the girl name suggestions, but we already have that covered. Horacio...... not really.

I wouldn't give my kid my name (it's against our tradition).

Boys names are most definitely harder to pick than girls names.

I know your pain, brother. My wife made it very clear from the get-go, we weren't going to have a kid named Dylan no matter what I said. The times, they never a-changed, at least on that score.

A lot of votes for Aaron and Harrison I've noticed.....

And the winner is..................

Samson.:)

And he's adorable.

Thanks for everyone's help..... I noticed that Rt&Dzine mentioned 'Samson' in post #13. PM me your address...... I'll be happy to ship you a poopy diaper. :D;)

Congratulations Surely!

I predict long sleepless nights ahead. :p Becoming a parent for the first time is an awesome experience. :D

Congrats on the kid!:)

Samson is very unique, I haven't heard it around. Any middle name?

PS - Endless nights are always coffee endured...
