So I started taking about my G5 quad cooling system so I could repaste the cpus, there were three screws that were way to stiff and I couldn't get undone. I put it back together so that I could get a new screw driver and try again another day but when I switch the system back on the fans instantly ramp up to full speed. One CPU seems to be fine for temps but the other one not so much. Maybe cpu B isn't making good contact with the heatsink anymore. I really don't know what I could have done to it, I did have to turn the computer upside down because a screw fell inside, I heard some liquid swishing, could that have changed something? Anyone have any suggestions about what I should do?

Thanks

Hey i have also a G5 quad and last week i refilled also the Water in my LCS. The only way i can think is that you dont have enaugh water anymore in the LCS. then the G5 pulls up his fans to cool down the temps. it could be that a lot of water is evaporate as it was at mine. check the water in the LCS.
also: you g5 would not startup if the Cpus arent connected. the cpus are connected.

I also refilled mine and had to redo it a number of times as I left some air bubble in the system. The pumps simply refuse to prime themselves unless all the air is purged.

Yeah I have a feeling that it could be that. Do you have any instructions on how to open and refill the coolant in a cooligy LCS?
