its on the title

"no backspace/Shift key glitch"

----------

im getting an error

sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code

i cant download and install completely.

Do you have swipeselection installed already? Remove it first, then do a full reboot and try again.

I guess it would be self-explanatory once you know what the heck Swipe Selection is. No problem, I ended up 'googling' it and watching a vid that explained it. So apparently there a bug in this tweak, and now its fixed?

oh my bad. i thought the title was self-explanatory.:p

thanks. i removed swipeselection. then installed your fix, and it works now.:D

Yeah, the bug in the tweak is no longer present (as explained earlier, it used to double-backspace and **** up the shift key in general). I believe it is working in iOS 7 only (not sure though.)

The patch didn't work for me (don't know why, can I consider myself dumb?). Then I installed this .deb (found on reddit through your link), respringed and it worked!

I registered this website just to thank you for making my iOS complete <3

Oh, I removed SwipeSelection from Cydia and the error kept haunting me. After that I reinstalled the original SwipeSelection then installed the .deb file via iFile!

Hey mate, if you remove the version of SwipeSelection that you installed through the .deb and reboot your phone (mind you, you'll need to re-install MobileSubstrate after that too) and THEN install the patch on my repo you should get it to download fine.

However, I'm glad you have it working and I'm even more glad that you're super happy about it and that you registered to tell me. Cheers mate, hope your day is awesome.

Oh, I forgot about rebooting/respringing, gonna try that right now and then edit this post/post my result!

Thanks for the quick response!

The .deb I installed it's a code changer for the original SwipeSelection, not a completly new one.

The .deb you installed is a rewrite of SwipeSelection with the broken delete key section edited to work correctly :) It's lacking the Shift key functionality

Ooh, sorry, I'm newbie in coding :b

Shift key func? What's up with this glitch? I have not experienced it before (I think)

Occasionally, instead of selecting text it would just spam the 'shift' key. It was unfortunate.

The fix works for english keyboard

But the double deleting bug is still here for chinese keyboard. For Chinese words, we type strokes and then choose characters. It doubly deletes strokes. Could you fix it please?

Sorry but i dont get it. What do i have to do to get swipeswlection running on 5s ios7 when no tweak is installed. A little step by step would be helpful. Thanks

I think this temporary fix was for 32 bit devices. I could be wrong. I'm hesitant to use 3rd party fixes for cydia packages unless they're developed by well known programmers. Not too sure about this fix though.

Apparently the OP would rather perpetuate an argument than verify sources. I've seen enough.

You post a thread, explaining NOTHING about the context of what you are posting about and then you argue using some irrelevant information that your RANDOM third party file sharing links are fixes for things which you fail to explain.

Pretty much the poster child for dummies on the internet downloading random files from unknown sources.

Edit: I understand that you probably don't have bad intentions. What you should understand though is you shouldn't assume everything is as informal as reddit. Explaining your post is basic forum etiquette.

Get a life.
