I've been seeing a nasty bug in 18.1 where my whole screen (iPhone 15 Pro) goes black and has a little spinner in the middle. It seems to happen at random, maybe a few times a week. When the phone comes back up after maybe 15 seconds, the screen is locked but I can unlock with FaceID. Music will continue to play the whole time the screen blacks out, as well. It's a weird one.

Exactly on my iPhone 14 Pro Max everything you explained has happened to me since iOS 18.

I wonder why the iPhone 15 Pro and Max got left out of Camera Control.

They don't have a "camera control " button !

Hopefully this also fixes the related "recently captured photos do not immediately copy to the Photos app on MacOS". I was scratching my head when I found that I had to sync twice to get everything to show up.

For anyone wondering why the default Mail app may not be showing accurate badge notifications, you’ve gotta go into settings and set it to all mailboxes from Primary.

I wish this AI would automatically take care of all the two factor authentication busywork and just log me in whether it’s text or email. It should be trained to recognize the request and response and just deal with it. It’s crazy I still have to do it myself when I have an AI computer.

Thank the gods you can disable user icons in the Mail app. Why did Apple think this was a good idea? Horizontal space is already so limited on a phone and that feature wastes a good chunk of it.

Mail is busted on my end. It shows 1 or 2 in the red dot on the icon but in fact it’s like 20 new emails. I wonder if they will fix it before the release. (I also don’t dig the new UI, but that’s just me probably)

Hope Apple realizes this issue effects more than just the 16Pro/16PM. My 15PM has this problem too..

Zeeeero interest in this for me. I think my interest in Apple is wavering, nothin on the horizon seems "future is here, now". This intelligence is a parlour trick. No real usage comoared to what asian devices can do since a few years.
More and more seems and Andorid is in the 2 years time frame for me.
