who cares if he is a noob? what kind of word is "noob" anyways? younger generations.....Just because he does not have a 68000 next to his name doesn't mean he knows any less than the G3 members.

My point was not regarding his knowledge but rather his demeanor. As he well stated I am also a n00b, newbie, new boy, green horn, it has a transgenerational meaning only the terminology is different. I am a member of far too many forums to be an uber member of any given one. Relax. I was just messin' with the Sasquatch.

Thank you Andrewr23 I really appreciate it :)
Edit: Also thank you Pomeless for the PM your a great guy on the forum =)

I've been on ALOT of forums to know the troll pattern of the "old timers" (the ones who have been on a forum so long that they feel they can treat others with disrespect) and how they work. The old timers don't like to see something that has been talked about before. So once someone posts something they have seen before (exp: Verizon iPhone rumors) the old timers go into the threads and post trollish responses saying exaggerated things like:

"Wtf is the point of this thread?!"
"This thread is retarded"
"I'm tired of wading through crap like this"
"Can someone please stop these idiotic threads?"
"GOD, not another one of these threads"
"Ummm.... do you even know X,Y, Z?"

They try to cause a rucus and try to troll a thread in order to get others not to respond to the thread by making the OP sound foolish. But once the OP responds the old timers then they start in with the insults and opinion putdowns:

"How old are you?"
"You don't have any idea what you are talking about"
"Who cares about what a product looks"
"Your a n00b!"
"Your choice is ugly"
"Your not respectful" (yeah... right... like the old timers were to begin with )

I really don't care if the old timers respect me. But over time the old timers start to take over the entire forum with this cranky and rude behavior to the point where nobody wants to even talk anymore.

That's why I always say: Don't like the thread? Cool. Then don't respond and move along thanks :)

If anything I really appreciate the "n00bs" of the forum. I know a hell of a lot more about electronics than my parents did and I assume the n00bs younger than me know a hell of alot more than I do as well, so I'm glad to talk to them and soak up their knowledge/opinions even if its been talked about before :)

Pomeless, I wasn't directing anything at you, it's just weird that the 68000 members disregard anything a "newbie or member" says on this forum.
I actually had an account back in 2001 when this website was brand new which was completely different. AS the guy above me said, all the 68000 or G4 members post "nice story..bro." and then complain about the thread when you can easily just click the back button instead of posting "cool story bro" haha.

I really want the White iPhone, but at this point, I just want an iPhone for Verizon, White or Black.

The way I see it, I'm going to cover it with a gelaskin, so the exterior color doesn't matter to me.

I completely dislike white iPhones, white iPhone 4 most of all. Obviously just a personal choice but the black one looks so good to me.

i have the black one now but i'm hoping once white iphone officially comes out, there will be companies offering white conversion with parts that are actually identical with the official white ones. Then i'll just go for the conversion.

As other have said. Whether or not a white iPhone 4 comes out in February or not, to me, is irrelevant. I wanted a white iPhone originally when Apple was introducing the iPhone 4, but at this point if I really want a white iPhone that badly I will just send off to have it converted. Not that big a deal to me anymore.

I have a dilemma: I want the white iPhone, but I also want it on Verizon. Since Verizon did not mention a white version available, it's probably safe to assume that it will only be on AT&T, right? I mean, the factory building the CDMA iPhone is probably busiest enough cranking out black ones. But I want a white one bad enough that I might get it on AT&T if I have to.

However, it appears that the white iPhone release is imminent. I mean, it's showing up on Apple websites and other places. I'm just wondering if it will be before or after the Verizon iPhone release date? It would be very cool if the white one showed up on Verizon's site right about the time the preorders start on 2/3, but that's probably wishful thinking....

3) For the looks and attention.

BWA-HA-HA! Trying developing a personality. Maybe then you'll gain some more, obviously MUCH needed, attention!

"OOH look at me I'm hoping to define my existence with a white cell phone. Look how UNIQUE I truly am".

It's amazing how so many people think a mobile device sets them "apart" from the crowd.

I'm laughing so hard it hurts!

You want to get some attention? Try something like this. Now I know this is going to sound strange because they could actually make some kind of difference in a life but, you need some attention so at least think about trying these things:

1- Volunteer at a animal shelter helping homeless and abused animals find good homes.

2- Volunteer at a homeless shelter maybe help out a group of homeless HUMANS for a day.

Weird I know and definitely not as socially impacting as your white iPhone but, give it a shot.

I'm not used to a White front but White stuff is pretty... I've always bought White iPods/iPhones/Macs (excluding Alu Stuff that is even better)

I don't know. Every picture I've seen of the white iPhone just makes it look cheap. I just don't think it's a good look for the iPhone. Now I saw the Evo with a white back and even though it was plastic, man it looked sexy. iPhone, not so much. Maybe it's putting white under the glass panel that doesn't look right. Either way.. ugh.

He sure got attention from you. Mission accomplished.

He sure did didn't he? And just imagine, he didn't even NEED the white phone. SHOCKING isn't it?

No one even knows what the white iPhone 4 looks like in person. All we've seen of the phone is via internet photo's.

I still prefer the black, even though I was one of those people who was initially holding out for the white iPhone 4. But I'm more than happy getting black.
