I really would not have upgraded this year if the circumstances were different however my original stainless steel 42mm series 0 finally gave out on me. No choice I guess. I would have liked if a $700 watch would have lasted me for at least 10 years? Maybe this one will be better.

Well the AW7 is underpowered and too small to do video editing on. The mac mini is too big to strap to your wrist when you exercise.

Guess you'll have to decide for yourself based on your requirements. Hope I've helped in some small way.

Good thinking my friend 😂😂😂😂 I knew someone will crack a joke about this....

It’s not a watch, it’s a wrist computer that also tells the time.

you were still rocking a series 0? you are in for a few very pleasant surprises. but its silly to ignore upgrades of a rapidly changing device for 10 years.

Eh, I mean, it still told the time and did Apple Pay (at least on cards other than my Apple Card) so it still worked for just about the only thing it was good for in the first place, and that was fine by me! The original never really delivered on many of its promises IMO, but I look forward to seeing how much more functional the new hardware has become.

Having watched the iPhone/Watch/Mini announcement I reasoned that the immediate purchase of the mini (which I love) was justified on the basis that I would give the watch a miss this year (and of course I got a 512gb Pro Max).... I'm not entirely sure why I'm all prepped for the store opening at 1pm UK.... am I seriously doubting I'm 'just looking' as much as I'm insisting that is the case 😆 #PrayForMe

Explain the Titanium model to me like I'm 5. What is the purpose of this?

Ordered my Starlight 41mm aluminium (yes, it is spelt like that :)) & Starlight sport band for £369.

Also ordered a 20w USB-C charger.

Going to collect in store.

I think I’d like to get the red, braided solo loop, so can try them on for size when I collect.

My first Apple Watch.

Got my order in!

I got a green aluminilum one! Couldn’t resist. Green leather band too!

GPSCellular of course

Green was on the top of my apple store app list so they guessed correctly about what I’d probably go for.

Oct 15 delivery in Canada.

If you are a rough and tumble guy who does real stuff, it can be good to go for the stronger watches. It used to be that stainless and titanium or ceramic would come with stronger sapphire glass cover as well.

I stopped getting the high end cases last year and instead tried aluminum, and it’s not badly scratched up or anything. So aluminum is fine for most of us.

there's no black or dark grey aluminum? closest is some dark blue case? what?
There is. It’s called Midnight.
