Difference: That was Steve's style. This entire presentation was like stand-ins for the Beatles, call them the Onos and everyone trying to project Steve's style and vibe in presentation.
Each time they do so the worse the presentation.
Steve would have demoed the products or not shown them and he would have never released macOS Sonoma with such weak offerings. Same with iOS and iPadOS.
He would have demanded more than 2 glued M2s and RAM options much higher. How do I know? I worked for him at NeXT and Apple.
And when he checked work he was indifferent and coldly blunt about Calling it Crap, but a different version starting with S.
Unless the man was blown away a product never saw the light of day. Now more than ever he would have pushed microOLED onto phones, iPads and Displays while bringing the AR product along, but only release it after several more revisions of that product to be less intrusive on the face.
The entire demo was horrifyingly bad. That is something they would have only shown after the Player One heads up display was no longer a Ski Mask but a slimmed down pair of shades that had a solid state integrated battery power source.
This is a product 5-7 years too early for mass production.
