Macbook Pro 250$ off = Still High

macbook pro 13 inch regular price was
$1299 sale 250$ = $1049 after tax around $1100 = This is not black friday

The 9.7 2017 iPad for $250.00 is ridiculously inexpensive.

Trying to decide between the iPad or repurposing my iPhone 6s to my 6-year old for Christmas.

Can someone verify if you have to open a NEW account with AT&T, Verizon, etc. in order to get the deal? I know that has been the case in the past with some of the gift card deals at Walmart and Target. I don’t want to have to switch providers if I end up buying.

Don’t think so. Sams Club (owned by Walmart) had same deal this last Saturday. I got two upgrades. $600 worth of gift cards.

Looking to pick up the 9.7” iPad with Verizon built in. All the listed deals say WiFi models. Thinking VZ’s going to offer the same deal for a connected iPad?

It's all marketing. The "New iPad" is essentially an iPad Air 1 released in 2013 with a few minor upgrades. Sure it's a bargain compared to an iPad Pro but "ridiculously inexpensive" does not accurately describe anything Apple makes IMO. It just appears that way since they're ridiculously expensive most of the time.

First, this isn't about the technical specifications of the 9.7 iPad, as I think you seem to be missing the point, as this is not in reference to the marketing of the 2017 iPad (Nor of which does the title of the iPad have a any marketing either, it's just the '9.7 iPad'). The idea that the 2017 iPad is ridiculously inexpensive is referring to the sale price on Black Friday, not in the sense that it's inexpensive anything Apple manufacures. As already mentioned in Post #17, nothing hardware wise is inexpensive manufactured by Apple, but when you factor a discounted iPad by $80.00 to an Already entry level price point of an iPad, that's what makes this
Sale price far more affordable than it's MSRP price point.

Best deal is the $159 for Beats Studio3 Wireless headphones!

The ad doesn’t state v3 Studios. Would be nice though if they were!

The 9.7 2017 iPad for $250.00 is ridiculously inexpensive.

Sweet deal, fair even for a pro model. Swift Playgrounds here I come - that is if the deals come north of the USA border.

Best Buy’s deal on the MacBook Air at $799 is the best I’ve seen for Black Friday. Going to pick one up for my daughter for college.

If all of the BestBuy stores are like the local ones here, do not expect a wide selection of watch bands.

This one had three. All black. One was a Nike+. They have had, on occasion, a blue woven one. The local Target had a choice: black, or white. That was it.

But BestBuy (WorstTry) has a plethora of their own private brand crap bands. (Figures)

Yeah, its an iPad at an Android price point, without the aggravation of actually owning an Android device. :)

OMG! I had an Amazon Fire HD. What a POC!!! I lost it. Haven't seen it for almost a year. I'm not upset... ;):Do_O

You have what is supposedly one of the "good ones". I've had a couple Android tablets. One generic, one Nexus. Both were free, both not worth what I paid for them. I hated just navigating around the settings, I couldn't imagine using them on a daily basis. Not even ten minutes of usage between the two and I knew Android wasn't for me.

I think you're making more of it than is necessary. It was obvious (to me) that kazmac's reply to your post was meant to say that the sale price is about what the iPad 9.7 should be priced at. You even agree that Apple products are expensive (some say over-priced).

So, you are right...factually, the sale price is ridiculously inexpensive but many (like kazmac) think that iPad model should be priced lower to begin with and that the sale price is reasonable. Everyone has an opinion, right? ;)

All are entitled to opinions, which I agree with what you're saying primarily. But Given the 2017 iPad is priced at $329, I don't think it's unreasonable to begin with. Then if you add in the sale price at $250, I think that's well underpriced for what you're receiving in return for an entry level iPad.

Speaking of opinions, @kazmac also
Commented on Cook. Which I also interpreted the OP's post as being in disagreement with not just Apples pricing, but Tim Cook, which they incorporated the typical " Almighty Bean Counter" snide comment. And sometimes when I read comments like that, I see somebody who is conflating what they disagree with the price point because they're looking for reason to not approve of Tim Cooks current pricing for products because it's unaffordable to them, not others. In the case of this iPad, Kazmac doesn't agree with the price point because they don't approve of Cooks pricing. Just my take on this based Kazmacs prior Post history.

Android tablets are awful. Their smartphones are a different story. Apple rules the tablet space. I wouldn't touch the Amazon Fire 7 for $50 or if it was given to me for free. Rather own a Note8 at 6.3".

I wish Apple offered more split-view capabilities and PiP on iPhones like they do on iPads and what Google added on Android officially in the last two major updates.

The iPhones are more expensive than iPads but don't get those two features that Note II had for years? At least add them on the X and Plus models. The X doesn't even have landscape mode for home screen.

Right now, I am typing this while watching the iPhone X review again from MKBHD.

With all due respect to you, and you know I do respect you... I take serious issue with Tim Cook's financial double speak and his practices in giving people less and less while charging more. I've been an Apple user since 1996 and have spent a lot of money (at least two degrees worth) and these past four years have been the first time where I truly felt I haven't been getting what I pay for. When Cook and other Apple brass sidestep how much more they are charging whenever they are questioned about this by the media, I cringe. I watch what people do not what they say.

Tim Cook has shown me is Apple is NOT what he says. I love their products when they work, but some of my angst comes from falling for the bs about iDevices and prices when my needs on those devices has become increasingly less and less. I learned my lesson this year very hard.

While I've known Apple brass have become increasingly more arrogant while their software and hardware has become unpredictable and unstable - that's what makes me even more angry and frustrated. Apple charging more to cover their HQ and expansion, yet increasingly neglect the wonderful tools and products that have kept me around for so darn long. I am the only Apple person in my family and now I am beginning to wonder why I still am.

They don't care anymore. And as I begin to ponder moving away from this wonderful ecosystem, I know exactly why that's happening. All Apple cares about is money and image now. The products are becoming secondary to services. That's painful to see. I want them to give a crap about their computers (beyond iDevices and unusable overpriced laptops) and software again. I do not want to leave, but as time goes on, I feel like it would be smarter for me to continue my cross platform explorations.

I appreciate that you love Apple products and are happy with what you get. That you see things differently. That's cool. When you want products that just work as they once did, price becomes less of an issue. If Apple were still making hardware and software that worked flawlessly most of the time, this wouldn't be an issue and I'd just laugh off their disgusting marketing pitch.

My apologies for derailing a sales thread...but I had to get this out.

Damn, still no deals on the 4K Apple TV :(

Although there's nothing yet akin to a straight up BF deal, DIRECTV Now is running a Promo for a FREE Apple TV 4K starting Nov. 17th.

If you register & prepay 4 months of DIRECTV Now ($140), you'll receive a FREE 4K Apple TV - 32Gb.

So you get a 4K Apple TV + 4 Months of DIRECTV Now for just $140.

The 4K Apple TV alone is $179.99.

Here is the link to the details on the deal: https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/10806843

It's not the deal you were looking for.....but it's still a great deal, especially if someone wants or could benefit from DIRECTV Now (which is actually an excellent streaming alternative to cable).

That is a great way to get an Apple TV 4k, I must agree. The channel packages... not so great.

With a little over one week until Black Friday -- the popular shopping holiday in the United States -- most of the major retailers have shared the deals you can expect to see when you're out shopping or online next Friday, November 24. Because we're so close to some of the best deals of the year on multiple Apple products and accessories, as usual it's worth being aware that you may want to hold off on making purchases or taking advantages of sales in the days leading up to Black Friday.

Thanks to deal leaks and official announcements, our Black Friday Roundup already has a pretty good idea of the sales you can expect on Apple products next week from places like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. Below we've rounded up some of the best sales that have been announced for each retailer, along with the times you can expect to show up at each store. Note that many deals overlap, so it'll come down to personal preference and location for which retailer you choose to purchase from.

Best Buy

Like many other retailers, Best Buy's Black Friday sale actually starts on Thursday, kicking off at 5:00 p.m. local time on Thanksgiving, November 23. Stores will then close at 1:00 a.m. local time before opening up again at 8:00 a.m. local time on Black Friday. One of this year's most notable sales (across most retailers) is for the 2017 9.7-inch iPad Pro with 32GB of storage, at just $250 for the Wi-Fi only model.

However, the store will close at midnight and then re-open a bit earlier than Best Buy on Friday, November 24 at 6:00 a.m. If you're looking for an Apple Watch, and are okay with investing in an older generation model, Target will have one of the best discounts running this Black Friday with Series 1 models at just $180.

No deals at all, unless you count the DirecTVNow bundle. I decided to go for it, despite my objections above. I'm choosing to look at it as getting $40 off the 4K and getting 4 months of free DTVN service. I'll probably quit afterwards and go to Philo, if I can find a way of getting the live network feeds another way.
