I noticed the package has been moved or removed from the server. I probably could figure out which icons to replace, but I'm rather lazy ^_~

If it's smaller than 100KB, perhaps someone who's downloaded it could post as an attachment. Otherwise, I'd be happy to host it if someone wants to e-mail it to me.

I have an emergency. I accidentally moved the widget folder to another place and now the widgets won't load.

Where does the widgets folder have to be?!?! HELP.
Someone else posted it was HD:Library:Widgets (not the User Library), but I can't confirm.

Wow, fantastic job on the installer and the actual skinning. Looks great along with the other widgets and not quite as gauddy. People can argue about "individuality" all they want, but that thing was FUGLY.

So much user innovation already and the thing hasn't even been released yet.

Made a calculator with a simple and subtle texture. It's actually a picture of ice, but when desaturated and darkened like this, it looks more like stone.

Cheers for all these calculator ones - I love iindigo's

I made a calendar one last night if anyone wants it:
(it replaces quite a few images and the CSS, so I made an installer package - if you want to do it manually just open the package up with Pacifist and drag the files into the Calendar widget)

Remember to backup /Library/Widgets/Calendar.wdgt first!

This is awesome stuff, everybody - keep 'em coming. I can't wait to have Tiger in my hands to start playing with these things.

Somebody had to do it...

Somebody had to do it right? Granted I lack any sort of photoshoping skills at all so all I really did was a resize and paste but... I'm sure *somebody* around here will take great care in making a better one... not sure who though...

WOOOOT! Thanks a bunch!

Here's a few more -

I might make a few photo-based skins... Ms. Knightingly will probably be one of the photoskin subjects ;)

EDIT: Forgot the skins!!

Help! I installed this but it will not work. I replaced the old calendar and got it to work by dbl-clicking on it, but it still won't show up in the bottom Widget bar.

Here's my calc skin contribution. It's a bit more advanced, you have to change the LCD backlight image as well. Hope you like it, there are more to come :)

I've included screenshots, visible below.

Thanks, that worked great for me.

this is interesting, i'm not having to logout and login for the changes to take place
i just copy in the new png file, authenticate to replace the existing one, then i F12 to bring up the dashboard, hold down option to close the Calculator widget, hit the + sign in the bottom left, and drag the calculator back out onto the dashboard, and it uses the new image

for mnstr_trd_sd:
open your main hard disk, usually called Macintosh HD i think, then open the folder Library. scroll to the bottom, there'll be a folder called Widgets. open that and find the Calculator one. hold down the control button and click on the icon for the Calculator file, it'll pop-up a menu, choose Show Package Contents. that opens a new window
find the folder Images
then, download the pic from this forum that you want to use (ctlr-click and save to disk, or just drag the image to the desktop) rename it as Calculator.png
then drag it into the Images folder - it'll tell you it can't be put there, unless you authenticate, click authenticate, click Replace, type in your admin password, then bring up the dashboard, close the calculator if it's open, hit the + in the bottom left corner to bring up all the widgets, drag the calculator out and it should be use the new skin after a second or two

hope this helps

can someone please teach me how to change my widget skin. :D i'm feeling a bit left out :p

Use a Package that automates the install. Lots in the thread already if you look...
