It is pathetic that in 2025 a so called MacBook "Pro" comes with 512GB internal they should come at least with 1TB as a based model.
What are you expecting from a tv box that you can't right now? My ATV is from 2016, and the only reason for me te upgrade would be because of performance reasons, or if I would upgrade my tv to 4K. The biggest negative for me would be the actual ATV apps, they lack consistency in UI/UX (I have Apple TV+, Netflix, Disney)Same. My computer is one year old. I couldn't care less about new MacBooks. My Apple TV is SIX years old.
This is the ONLY M5 processor Apple has EVER released and going by past form the LEAST powerful, sip the coolaid don't glug it downThis is the best, most powerful M5 processor that Apple has ever released. It is truly the most complete fulfillment of Steve Jobs' vision for Apple processors. Apple can't wait to see the incredible things customers are able to do. Apple thinks you're gonna love them. Stay tuned for more surprises from the greatest pipeline ever....

and was all but incapable of making full use of it. Even the 150GB/s M3 Pro was hard pressed. My original 14" M1 Pro base has 200GB/s memory bandwidth.
Remember during Steve Jobs time, he came out ideas people would want. Unlike nowadays, Apple just playing catch up.What were you expecting? If they are out of ideas, help out Apple and tell us what they should have had in the M5 iPadPro.
Wash rinse repeat. Also MacBook saves a guy from getting a heart attack or getting lost in the wilderness. This is the best, most powerful M5 processor that Apple has ever released. I agree on the message - it is even more strange as the probability of someone giving back the M2 version to receive the M5 version is extremely low. It is mostly the same machine and nobody is using it to the extent to justify such a minor upgrade …The fact that Apple isn’t allowing trade ins for M2 AVP really is concerning. It gives a message that not even Apple wants the device back. I get the feeling that Apple was forced to update AVP as 5nm chips such as M2 are winding down. Apple really needs to drop cash to get devs into the space. Looking at AVP App Store and it’s a sad state of affairs.
M5 iPad Pro feels like M4 v2 and that’s fine. It’s a really solid device.
New M5 MBP, that’s great. Gone are the days of Intel where we had to wait many years for new hardware.
Kind of hoping Apple holds back AppleTV and HomePod till next year and does a super Siri/Homekit event where they also announce their camera and screen HomePod.
I get the feeling we’ll see the tv and HomePod mini tomorrow though. Again, two devices that need to get away from 5nm but do they really need updates? It’d be nice to see Apple justify the new appletv by using AV1 decoder for near 4k Blu-ray movie streaming. AVS enthusiasts would go nuts. It’d put Kaleidascape and their $5k-$100k streaming boxes out of business. Otherwise it’s already fast enough.

do you struggle doing any of that with the M4? lol i do lightroom and photoshop editing on a daily basis on my M1 Pro chip and dont have a single hiccup ..Thinking I might upgrade my Macbook pro M4, 16gb, 1Tb, nano texure display (bought in Jan 25) to the M5 24gb, 1tb nano display now instead of later.
I salary package my laptops (pre tax) in Australia and I don't think I can wait until May for the M5 pros.....
Would there be a massive improvement on the M5 over the M4? The most intensive stuff on my computer that I do is Adobe Lightroom Classic - importing, viewing, occasional editing of photos.
check out the LG 32U990A it ships next week $1999Oh, 100% agree that for monitors there are now so many great options that it seems silly (to me anyway) to bother waiting then paying the premium for an Apple one. Sure they make some good monitors but there are so many other options.
False! Because Apple has just released this M5 and this M5 only, it is the BEST, MOST POWERFUL M5 ever released. It takes the best-in-class MacBook Pro to a whole new level. And Apple didn’t stop there. The ALL NEW M5 MacBook Pro now features the N1 processor, a game-changing networking processor that only Apple can provide. This is the ONLY M5 processor Apple has EVER released and going by past form the LEAST powerful, sip the coolaid don't glug it down
