Control centre still looks awful and ignores this toggle?
Is this the same as what's in Accessibility in 26.0?
(Settings > Accessibility > Display :: Reduce Transparency)
Control centre still looks awful and ignores this toggle?
How about no translucency at all? UI colors independent from the background, for 100% predictable contrast. What do we think? Options are always welcome.
Thanks, it helps a little bit. But I used a Pixel just last week and that was spot on. Maybe time for a change. The iPhone seems better suited to those or prefer a gimmick these days.Try:
Accessibility > Display > Increase Contrast.
You now have the choice between Tinted Ass and Clear Ass.Great. So now instead of Liquid Ass we just have Ass.
Menu and Icon redraw is still an issue, keyboard I can't replicateWhat does it look like typing in dark mode. Still a bunch of useless flashes??
This is what I mean: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...ws-criticism-from-users.2466257/post-34159006Menu and Icon redraw is still an issue, keyboard I can't replicate
Tinted on dark mode still will show a brighter gray than non-tinted.Unless it’s tinted on dark mode maybe
Same as Reduce Transparency. Which is why these options don't help for accessibility half of the time.Tinted on dark mode still will show a brighter gray than non-tinted.
I agree with this wholeheartedly however I will say it works a lot better on a Mac than it does on an iPhone/iPad.I do not like Liquid Glass. I thought that one of the main reasons to have devices such as a Mac or an iPhone or an iPad was to get work done. Yes, I'm a big fan of fun and a pleasurable experience when it comes to UI (DogCow anyone?) but Liquid Glass sometimes makes getting things done a LOT harder.
I have tried turning on Reduce Transparency and that makes a mess of folder displays in Dark Mode so I am using plain old Liquid Glass on iOS and iPad Os. I haven't moved to Tahoe because of Liquid Glass with the Mac OS.
I'm hoping that the new setting described here makes things more legible and easier to read. When Ive was working at Apple sometimes form followed function (keyboards, etc.) and Liquid Glass seems a return to this thinking - a gimmick that in some instances makes things hard to read, is not my idea of a good idea. 😃
