Question: when at the "Preparing Update" phase, does wifi connectivity matter? Specifically, is the update already on the device so I could safely go run some errands with my device on me without jacking up the install? Thnx.
I'd like to know that tooQuestion: when at the "Preparing Update" phase, does wifi connectivity matter? Specifically, is the update already on the device so I could safely go run some errands with my device on me without jacking up the install? Thnx.
my 4k apple tv downloaded and installed before all the others, iphone 11 pro just started updating. At this rate my TV may have installed the update before the iPhone finishes downloading and I’m too lazy to go upstairs and try the iPad.
I was right. Started the iPhone first then the TV 4K and I’m already watching a programme after installation on the TV, iPhone has 53 mins remaining!my 4k apple tv downloaded and installed before all the others, iphone 11 pro just started updating.

all done.
I'm using iTunes(High Sierra) and I had to download an update for iTunes before it would let me start the iOS14 download/update process.Has anyone received the update through Finder in Catalina? Mine still says 13.7 is the latest.
Go have yourself a virtual cookie on us.Well guys? didn't I tell you that the update would probably come out around 4PM EDT, or shortly after?
From an unnamed Pacific Island - downloading now
Enjoy you security vulnerabilitiesStill on 12.4.1 on my 6s and couldn’t be happier.. Will probably grab ios 14 when it comes out of beta in September 2021 under the name of 14.7.. Enjoy a year of beta testing guys
Ah, good, this is false.Oh damn I forgot. I believe I'll need to update my iMac to Catalina to back up my iPhone locally, if I update it to iOS 14. The thing is still on Mojave, because I had some software compatibility issues initially... and then never got around to moving to Catalina. I was hoping to just upgrade directly to Big Sur, but maybe I'll have to bite the bullet and upgrade to Catalina.
