Rounded messages interface to waste even more screen space for no reason? Yeah, this video is for clicks/ads/revenue at best.

What a surprise that the redesign isn't really a redesign with this group of people at the top of Apple. There is no innovation on the software side at all. They keep selling the same software experience for years with the same dated boring look. Where do all those billions Apple pays to its software team go???

You...you do realize this is a mockup right? Based on rumors? And not an actual official sneak peak from Apple...🤦‍♂️

Thank god this is a Prosser "leak". At least I know with upmost confidence this won't be what iOS 19 looks like because wow would that be a disappointing redesign.
I thought the same thing, I like the buttons because they move away from the flat ones we have now but the app is completely identical as it is shown and it would not be a redesign at all

He said no Home Screen redesign, didn’t mark say a huge change with how we use our phone and a complete redesign.

Couldn't agree more... I'm forever accidently typing.things.like.this, never happens on my Android.

I used to get this constantly when searching in safari. Autocorrect would think you’re typing a URL and keep putting.in.periods.instead.of.spaces ? But this hasn’t happened recently, so I assume they fixed something at some point. Note there is no “.” on the standard keyboard, so it must be an autocorrect or “double tap space bar to end sentence” glitch if this is happing outside of the Safari search bar.

A number row would be very welcome too.

Maybe. But the keyboard already takes up an awful lot of screen space. Perhaps it would make sense on devices with the very largest screens.

Those buttons at the top look extremely amateurish. I know it’s someone’s quick mock up, but I sure hope the real thing looks nothing like that.

The current design is really lightweight and clean. As soon as you start putting in heavy, garish UI elements, you start distracting from the actual content.

"Prosser noted that the Messages app and the Home Screen have not seen significant redesigns in iOS 19, despite rumors that we're going to see the biggest redesign since iOS 7."

Oh

Sounds like it'll be the usual over hyped nothing burger we all expected anyhow
We? You presume to speak for everyone? I'm curious as to why you believe it to be a "nothing burger" when nothing about it is known.

This mockup is likely 40% of what the final would look like if accurate (big if). The iOS 7 went too far in stripping personality from the software. I hope Apple brings some personality back into their software and encourages developers to do the same.
