Thin is better. The Air is the best hardware I’ve ever purchased from Apple; MacBooks included ( taking in account laptops rarely come out of the drawer at home these days).
Probably just another way to increase dividends to shareholders. But, hey you’re free to express your educated opinion on this matter.

Sad that people are happiest when they have something to complain about.
Of course, just trying to figure out, if this comes in 2 sizes and has 3 cameras how will they justify the pros that year. It seems like it is replacing them?
I believe bezels resembling Apple Watch is the correct prediction. In fact I remember thinking back then about this image from iPhone X presentation that screen should be kinda this way. It's very natural for a design like this. Also curved sides are so much nicer to hold and do edge swipes on, and I personally prefer the aesthetic too. Glad it's coming back.

oi... now iOS has to have adjustable touch & screen margin limits to have some bezel back to hold it and keep the content visible. And with all the glass... even more reason for a thick rubber case, otherwise this one will slip even more faster out of your hand and break all over the floor.

Oh yeah. I agree with you and with the ram shortage its going to be even more crazier in the near future. I used iPhone X from launch day until iPhone 17E. That experience taught me I was a $500 phone user. A given day for me just doesn't have enough demands to make use of the silicon inside.
I prefer now the combination of, budget phone and powerful tablet. It's still as expensive as a single $1000 phone, but you get more variety in how you approach day to day stuff. I got my 17E + Mini 7 together and I got both for under $1000 together but I get more out of them together than if I would have just spent $1000 on a 17 Pro alone.
If we get half of the things mentioned here… Apple will never ever release all these capabilities within one phone even if they could. They will stretch it to 2-3 generations for profit.
I bet at some point they just do what they did with MacOS and move to iPhone + year

Is ceramic the plastic looking material like iPhone c models back in the day?
Touch ID sucks if you have wet hands or work in the food service industry…such a hassle….then again Face ID must suck if you’re a Mexican wrassler lol or Batman etc
I think we should have both touch and Face ID but that’s just m opinion

I don’t even want this, and I want most things Apple makes. You can’t even put a decent case on it (top lip) without covering up the sides of the display, and you’ll need it, because it’s entirely glass front and back. Unless they invent truly transparent aluminum, I don’t want this. My iPhone 17 Pro is solid.

The article's rendered illustration really does look a lot like the iPhone X series, because for some reason it still has a black border between the display and the metal band, which some rumors for the 20th anniversary model say won't be there since that would run counter to what Apple is trying to achieve with a borderless "slab of glass" display. Unless Apple keeps the border anyway.
If the leaker quoted in this article is correct in saying that the bezel will stlll be there, but just thinned out from 1.44mm to 1mm, it'll still be easily visible if you tilt the phone even a tiny bit past looking at it exactly face-on, which I'd think would interfere with the "slab of glass" illusion.

All they have to do is find a quiet secluded spot, inbetween beating up people, where they can take off their masks, since the Face ID setup scan will reject masks like theirs, unfortunately.

People are overly obsessed with their so-called phone privacy these days.
Better not to store anything sensitive on these overly AI phones anyway…
I would really settled with a compromise of all-screen display, no Face ID, not even a selfie camera, but a beautiful large display with no notches or islands
