Did anyone have Apple Pay order tracking show or work for them? Haven’t seen it work on my device yet.

No they wouldn’t because, at least in my bank, you can customise the look of the card and in Apple Pay you can’t.

Also on real card you have numbers and names and in Apple Pay name is hidden all the time and 4 last numbers are shown only when you tap on concrete card.

Of course these are small things we can live with but also could be easily fixed if Apple wanted to (at least as an option).

PS. I’m not from US so my experience can be different from yours.
I have actual bank cards that I have customized and they show in Apple Pay exactly the way they look in real life. I did not have to modify.

This app and service should literally be illegal without either a mac app or web app. You should have all avenues of access to financially related materials instead of being jailed to a single device.
This is a method of accessing your credit/debit cards for use in mobile payment. Nothing prevents you from accessing your cards in any other app, nor via the Web or getting the information by making a phone call to your financial institution. Even if you are talking about Apple Card, one can get information about one’s card using the web, if one wants it.

Pretty sure I can tell the difference
I have several different checking accounts from the same credit union. I use them to keep transactions, including some shared with my boyfriend. They are not different types from the same provider, but exactly the same card type from the same provider. It is not that they look similar, but that they look exactly the name, because they are.

Nah.. still easy to see which is which..
Maybe I wasn’t specific. Here you show two different type of cards from the same bank: Gold Card and Platinium card so it’s normal that they look different. But if you had two Gold ones or two Platinium ones they would be identical from that view and you couldn’t know which one is which.

With the physical card, you couldn't either until you pull it out of your wallet... tap on the card in the Apple Wallet

You could put sticker and then you easily would. The same in the Wallet simple possibility to add some tag on top left/right corner would fix the issue, or just simple bubble with the colour.

This describes so many things in iOS by now it's not even funny. Hopefully there are a lot of little improvements in 17 that we haven't seen yet.

In this aspect at least, it's the same.

Still only shows me the last four of the card number. Can't even tell by billing address as far as I've been able to find.

Just checked again and tapping billing address just lets me change it and doesn't show which one it currently is. No details are available except card picture and card number last four digits, even when tapping on the ellipsis and selecting view card details.

The more I read about iOS, MacOS, iPadOS, the more it feels like a .5 version.

The only one that deserves a full integer change is WatchOS. Sad

The card fees alone make it not worth apples time, they could never sustain the level of cash back that America benefits from 😭

Ehhh, many/most stores in the US (especially smaller ones) actually dislike cards due to the fees they have to pay to fund that cash back. I've found that UK and EU stores in comparison have a lot less of an issue with them these days because the fees are capped by law.

Really, if it weren't for cards basically being the only viable non-cash payment method here, I could see a lot more places charging extra fees for using your card (or even outright no longer accepting them).

 You're having trouble differentiating one card from another?

Each card is clearly different from one another. No way I'm going to confused, for instance, an AmEx card from a Sapphire Reserve card or a Bank of America card. Even someone who's color blind can see difference.

Yes, but what about those 2 beautiful Citi cards (above AxEx)? I have no clue which is which)))

I've had it since day one and it has never had any benefit - hotels in other states did not understand what it was so I had to break out the real one. TSA wasn't sure about it so I broke out a passport.
I used it at the TSA, and it crashed the whole ID reader, pissing off everyone behind me in the precheck line.

Things like this is why it’s still “testing”…it’s nowhere near as reliable as regular Apple Pay.

Who thinks that it would be cool if Apple Pay merchants could choose if they want customers to receive a customer satisfaction survey after making a purchase?

In a video released today, Apple has outlined several improvements coming to the Wallet app and Apple Pay with iOS 17. The software update is currently in beta and will be released to the public later this year for the iPhone XS and newer.

A major redesign for the Wallet app that was rumored ahead of WWDC never materialized, with only modest changes made in iOS 17.

Apple Pay order tracking is getting several enhancements, including Apple Maps support, receipts for transactions, the ability to add an order to the Wallet app from an email attachment, and a new "Track with Apple Wallet" button for apps and websites.

If a user is tracking an Apple Pay order with a specified pickup time and location, the Maps app will now proactively suggest it through Siri Suggestions.

Merchants can now attach a receipt to Apple Pay orders as a PDF or image file, so the customer has a record of payment in the Wallet app. Merchants can also now attach Apple Pay orders to emails, such as the order confirmation email. The customer can then tap on the email attachment in the Mail app and add the order to the Wallet app.

Apple has also introduced a new "Track with Apple Wallet" button that merchants can add within their iPhone apps and websites.

As previously announced by Apple, iPhone users will be able to present a driver's license or ID stored in the Wallet app at participating businesses and venues starting later this year. Users will simply hold their iPhone or Apple Watch near the business's iPhone to verify their age and identity for things like alcohol, rental cars, and more.

Apple calls this feature Tap to Present ID on iPhone and provides more details in its video.
