Here's What's New in iOS 17 for Wallet and Apple Pay

In store receipts? Nope.

Those are likely to be the ones most people deal with day in day out, but no mention of any improvements to them. :-(

Sure most don't. But like everything in life, these things have to be invented for future implementation. Otherwise we'll be here in 5/10/20/30-years time with the same anachronistic bits-of-paper receipts.

For example, if Apple started by talking to POS vendors on their needs, with a view to releasing an API for Apple Pay in-person payments, then POS system makers could implement said features, along with non-Apple Pay payments. And no doubt Google would copy and get an API out for Android users; thus both platforms being supported.

It would take time, given the complexities of parties involved (just as digital ID's are going to take a long time, and are slowly dripping-out one at time in v.limited US-only places). But we see little sign from Apple of them talking to POS vendors to even begin the process.

You're having trouble differentiating one card from another?

Each card is clearly different from one another. No way I'm going to confused, for instance, an AmEx card from a Sapphire Reserve card or a Bank of America card. Even someone who's color blind can see difference.

I have four cards from the same bank, and they all look the same and I can only differentiate by bringing each card up, check and try to remember which account the card number is associated with

Disappointed that we didn’t get the rumored redesign. But I am looking forward to the enhancements to order tracking.

I still can’t believe that the Apple Store doesn’t support tracking with Wallet. That should have been there from day 1 to showcase the feature.

Looking no forward to the receipt storage. I’m curious as to how that will work. Will the merchant have to update their pos systems?

Disappointed, given how pro-privacy Apple is, there seems to be no way to disable the loyalty signups when checking out with Apple Pay/Wallet. Seeing this nag at more and more merchants…
