I mean that’s data that needs to be stored. And for what reason?I won't be really happy with it until they bring back Dark Sky's ability to show historical weather for any date and location going back many years. Absolutely no reason to have removed that.
Not had any problems here in the UK. That’s not US centricThe app is nice but the weather data is so inaccurate! It’s ok to know whether it will be hot or cold but more than that is hazardous.
Is a trillion dollar company not capable of pulling regional data from regional providers and not from some US centric service that has no interest in the quality of their data??
Great point, provided it is accurate, but I think tide predictions can be expensive because of all the modelling involved and something tells me Apple might not want to make the investment. I have a dedicated app which charges a small yearly fee (£6) for tide prediction (I walk along the coast in Scotland quite a lot and being stranded on a sand bar is not only embarrassing but potentially lethal). Still, at this point I am not sure I would trust Apple to get tides right given their forecast errors for the weather.Would be awesome to have tide details as well for those living near the coast.
Ok but will it actually work without outages every other week?
I live in the pollen capital of the USA, and I was just thinking about this very thing yesterday. Would be awesome to have in the weather app.As a person affected by seasonal allergies, I'd find it really useful if Apple would add pollen-count data, forecasts, allergen 'season' info etc. to Weather.
🤧
Could also integrate with Health for symptoms.

I HATE this. I've had an "Air Quality Alert" for a literal week and it's all because the Texas government has issued an Ozone Action Day encouraging people to carpool to work.Who’s already on the beta, would you please be able to confirm - is it finally possible to dismiss the “severe weather” warnings? So that they don’t take space on top of both the Weather app & widget (seriously - I don’t need to see a “high temperatures” warning all summer to know that it’s going to be hot 🙄)
Thanks!
I thought the government in Texas likes ozone.I HATE this. I've had an "Air Quality Alert" for a literal week and it's all because the Texas government has issued an Ozone Action Day encouraging people to carpool to work.
It takes over the current conditions widget so I can never quickly glance at the temperature on my home screen.
Willamette Valley, Oregon. Here is the pollen count from a few days ago.Where is the pollen capital of the USA? Might be somewhere to cross off my travel list 😅
not to my knowledgeI thought the government in Texas likes ozone.
Seriously though, that sounds annoying. Is there no way to dismiss the alert?
Ok I just installed the beta as it’s available publicly now.I HATE this. I've had an "Air Quality Alert" for a literal week and it's all because the Texas government has issued an Ozone Action Day encouraging people to carpool to work.

I wonder if Apple used the same sources as Dark Sky for the US but saved costs by downgrading the sources of information in Europe. In Scotland Apple's Weather app is not even remotely as accurate as Dark Sky was.The good thing would be to make the weather app useful in Europe. I'm in Germany and %90 of the forecasts and current conditions are always wrong. When it's raining, it shows cloudy or sunny weather. When it's sunny or cloudy it shows rainy weather. Reported it for many times not no improvement.
