Customers in the United States can "Get Ready" for the iPhone 14 launch with a pre-order setup process that allows them to choose an iPhone, confirm it with a carrier, select accessories, and enter a payment method and shipping address. The "Get Ready" option is available until 9:00 p.m. Pacific Time today, so if you haven't set it up yet, now is a good time to do so.

Following pre-orders on September 9, the first iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Plus orders will arrive to customers on Friday, September 16. AirPods Pro 2 orders will arrive on September 23, and iPhone 14 Plus orders will arrive on October 7.

Those hoping to get a device on launch day should pre-order right away, as we do not yet know how much available supply Apple will have. Popular iPhone models often sell out quickly, so we could see the new colors disappear within a matter of minutes to hours.

Pricing on the iPhone 14 starts at $799, while pricing on the iPhone 14 Pro models starts at $999. The AirPods Pro 2 are priced at $249. For iPhones, many U.S. carriers are offering discounts, and Apple is offering the iPhone Upgrade Program and trade-in options to drop the price.

So I’ve never done this kind of civilized preorder before and I’m wondering how it actually works. I did the deed and it’s all quieued up and I’ve left my ipad on my account page here’s it says iPhone saved for preorder. When the time comes do I just hit view to see and place the order? And what if what I want isn’t available and I want to switch colors?

I wonder if the full price device on Apple.con shipping to a US address has the eSIM only or has a physical SIM tray as well.
All 14 series devices sold in the US regardless of being Unlocked or Carrier locked are eSIM only.

I was going to get it, until I realized that next year's iPhone,

- will have USB C and USB 3.0 speeds
- will have a more efficient Apple-designed modem
- will probably start at 256GB
- will have Wi-Fi 6e

These are pretty monumental improvements. No purpose in getting this device, it's just in an awkward spot. Waiting 12 months seems to be worth it.

Can the IP14PM also be ordered today and when is the earliest it will ship? I am not in a rush, all I want is to have it before XMas, do you think I can wait for another month? I am also hesitant to buy the very first batch in case of any initial issues, do you think 1 month in is enough to correct any small production issues?

Are you guessing, or do you have a concrete source? You could be waiting another couple of years. You never know. Buy what you want now, and enjoy.

I won't be pre-ordering for this generation. If I was in the US or China perhaps as they have retained similar price points from last year, but price points outside these regions (e.g. Europe) are steep due to currency devaluation. Personally, the differentiation between generations is not enough to justify for the normal 14 but maybe for Pro.

Not getting the sleep I should be getting — especially coming off a cold — because I’m in the Pacific Time Zone where pre-orders start at 5am … 😜

(iPhone 14 Pro, in black, 1TB; moving up from a regular 12 whose 256GB I’ve maxed out from shooting 4K videos at work)

This appears to be the case. Was really hoping buying the unlocked version you would get the model with a sim tray too. Was going to buy a 14 and try it out and if I didn’t like it after a few weeks (probable since I prefer the mini form factor) I was going to give it to my Mom to replace her old 6 plus! However already confirmed the carrier doesn’t support eSim with the plan she is on.

this thread is hilarious, considering that I'm waiting a bit over 5 months for my Mac studio Max back here in Hellas!!!:p
