i got a september 26 date 🙁 hope its sooner than that. im guessing because i got one of the newer hermes bands theres a bit of a delay? also praying the series 4 watch faces are available, dont see why they wont be

same here. I ordered a new Hermès model SECONDS after release and the arrival date was already September 26th.

1) The new Apple Watch Hermès Noir Swift Leather Single Tour Band has black lugs and black hardware
2) Most of us with SB SS watches have commented on the DLC coating resisting dings and scratches quite well, so those two might be outliers.
 
I have been going over it in my head for 24 hours, I am gonna keep my s4 ss Hermes as i have all the bands from gen 0 until now and dont want to lose the wearability of those beautiful bands, even with that i'm pretty sure they will all fit nexts years s6 hermes... but dont really love any of the new bands also can't justify buying a second stainless model that is essentially the same as my s4 except for always on. I decided to get the s5 hermes space black as i i have the sb link bracelet to pair with it from my s0 space black as well as the sb milanaise that i kept as well as all my other rubber bands that can go either way. This gives me the ultimate flexibility. I dont want to have 2 silver stainless watches that are identical aside from minor spec change and i also dont feel like selling the s4 ss hermes i have now for a huge loss (to add insult to injury did anyone look at how apple laughs at us by offering us a trade value of $110 Canadian $ for what we paid 2 grand for).....

Does anybody follow my logic? I know I am completely crazy to begin with haha, just wanted to put my 2 cents out there.

Do you still have the SBSS? Can you please take some pics of it with different bands and Hermès tours so we can see how it looks?

I ordered the SBSS Hermès and wonder if my existing bands will match.

I’m in Australia so will get it before most of EU and US.

Really wish I could find last years orange/blue/white color block band.

I'm not 100% in love with the blue color block watch I ordered this year but it's my favorite of what they currently offer.

Also, the limited edition black hermes band.... I already have a black sport band. This doesn't seem like it'll be really any different? At least the orange sport band was a unique color when launched.

Appears to be the same minus the hermes branding on the pin.

I meant to say that none of the existing Hermès bands or the 4 that I currently own have black lugs.

My brother and friend are pretty easy on their watches and I couldn’t live with the scratches that I see. Luckily everyone is different though.
 
No way in heck I can justify buying another Hermès AW!!!

The $110 trade in is an insult for a 1400 watch that’s just 10 months old!!

The watch costs as much as an iPhone, and does less!!


The only tempting reason would be for the always on feature, which after thinking about it logically provides no value... my S4 is on when I lift my arm to look at it, which is all that matters. Why should I care if it’s on while my arm is dangling away from me??? Oh so other people get the pleasure of seeing it?? 😛🙄

I typically sell my Hermès watches for about $600 without the bands. If you want to sell the band you can probably get 250-300 plus 50-100 for the sports band if they are in great condition. It’s not an investment so for me I’ll throw the money away on an annual watch upgrade.

Note that my Hermès tour is a third-party/knock-off (the real one at 195mm is a bit too tight and this one is 220mm like my Leather Loops) and I did swap the silver lugs (where applicable) for aftermarket black lugs - something I would never do with an actual Hermès band. 😱

Hmmm... really???? If I can go that route then I would definitely upgrade 😉

Everything I have is in great condition.. I learned my lesson last year, did not have AppleCare + and dropped the dang watch (series 3) on the floor of the apple store right before trading it in, broke the screen!!!!

The watch on eBay. The bands on here typically. Or you can sell the new band you get with the S5. That’s another route to recouping more cash. Just need to be careful with eBay.

I think the S4 Hermès should hold its value pretty well since the S5 looks and performs almost exactly the same.

I'm hoping for a shade of black different from the standard Apple sport band (unlikely based on pics).

Looking at the S5 SS versions again and I'm glad I got the SBSS. The blue in the new block coloured single tours is not indigo anymore and a vibrant kind of blue and it's not really appealing to me.

I ordered the Space Black S5 but am keeping the S4 Hermès. I actually prefer this year’s “regular” Hermès bands to last year’s, and gave the band to my mother. My S3 Hermès band has held up really well in 2 years of everyday use. I’m looking forward to the Space Black but might get a Béton band to use with my S4 on occasion. I really like that band, too.
