The band itself should be exactly the same width for the 41 and 42mm versions. It’s only the lugs that connect the band to the watch that is different between the two versions. The 41mm lugs will not perfectly match the shape of the 42mm watch (though I doubt anyone would notice on your wrist). The 42mm version should match the shape of the new watch perfectly. But the width of the band will be the same in either case.

Thanks that was what I was guessing, just wanted a little reassurance. I had tried this band on with the series 9 in a Hermes store before the 10s came out and it did actually fit perfect on my wrist I am hoping that it still will despite now being the 42. I know a SS Kate Spade band I had on my S7 now just does not fit right on my S10 being the 42mm. It is amazing how 1 mm can make a difference. I think I am going to get the band, worse case I can always wear it with my SS Series 9.
