Hermès Edition Owners Thread

I just wanted to report that I called the three Hermes Stores in Las Vegas and even called the store in Beverley Hills CA and all 4 states that Hermes absolutely will not add any holes to any band. A gentleman at the store I have frequented in Wynn Resort said he would not even suggest that a jeweler or shoe repair shop even touch it because it would compromise the integrity of the watch. He asked why I did not immediately return the watch? I said because I want the watch and have other Hermes bands that do fit. He then just said, well there is no way we can help you. I think my next choice is I do know a very reputable Leather and Shoe Repair shop that I think would be able to add the holes. I was just surprised at the attitude.

It‘s just stupid that they don‘t put more holes in their bands in the first place. Apple‘s Classic Buckles covered a much bigger range of wrist sizes.

So this never bothered me until now... I've lost ~70 lbs since the last time I wore an Apple Watch Hermes. Now my size the is the last (narrowest) hole. Fortunately there's no way I'll need another smaller hole, but I'm on the smallest hole that Hermes includes on their 45-46mm bands.

I wear the Hermès leather watch strap a little looser, so the holes provided fit me.
If I want to wear the strap tight, I'm in the last hole.

But I don't understand why the straps with the deployment clasp aren't shortened!
The position of the clasp on the Kilim straps is perfect. The position on the leather bracelets is bad.
They aren't suitable for normal arm circumferences.

I understand you’ve already made a decent investment, but I think it’s time to consider switching to the 42mm Apple Watch

Bruh now they stopped making extra holes for single and double tours in leather? They are still selling leather bands, Apple is not in their stores.

Guess it’s time to buy these leather hole punches that you hammer 🔨 them out for belts and mechanical watch leather straps. These things can be found at a craft shop.

It seems that none of the Las Vegas stores had in stock the 42 but she showed readily available through their web site. She also did not have the band to look at but there was one at Belliagio store. But with the F1 having just been here getting to that resort is still a mess, not going to do it to just look at a watch band. I am going with my gut that I will love the band so I ordered it on line last night. The only false information that the SA gave me was she said if I ordered on line by noon on Tuesday they would ship it out immediately over night and I would have on Wednesday. Well I ordered last night when I got off the phone and while I received a confirmation email from Hermes I have not received an email of shipping plus their web site said it would be 7 to 10 business days before I received with their free shipping. If I wanted to pay another $100 I could have it by Friday. Sorry but will keep the extra $100 to go toward a Kilim band.
So that is my update, almost an owner of a Hermes watch I think my husband thinks I am nuts wanting a 3rd apple watch but he did say you do work hard and deserve it. I am semi retired but still been working a lot of hours on my retirement job (travel agent) With the holidays I fear I will not see the watch till well into December 😳

Absolutely not. I like big watches and all straps fit. Only the leather watch strap with folding clasp has an inappropriately designed position of the clasp.

What’s the name of the band in the middle? Never seen it with the embossed H logo.

Assuming the weight loss was intended and not something seriously wrong healthy wise, congratulations on losing that weight.

Wrist is 18cm. Opted for the large and only needed to remove 1 link in total. Hermes bands are much smaller than Apple bands.

My overall recommendation is get the Large regardless of your wrist size because you can remove additional links with a standard watch link removal tool (the kind that pushes the connector pins out). There are people willing to buy additional links because even the large is too small for them so you could offset the cost of the band by selling the extra links.

It continually restocks on the US Apple site but immediately sells out again. I’ve seen it restock a half dozen times in the past couple of weeks. The last time I noticed a restock was Dec 19th but haven’t been checking every day.

They also make link removal tools you can get on Amazon for $5-10 which allows you to safely remove pins the same way a professional would.

They also had the Medium in stock I believe during XMAS eve and on XMAS day. I already have a M size that works well for me with one link removed but was curious to check re: any additional stock.

Received the Hapi double tour for the 46mm watch - as I’m left handed I wear my watch on my right wrist which means the H ends up closer to my wrist - I think the other way is more ideal but the crown gets in the way. Super soft leather and doesn’t have an insert like the other double tours (from what I understand). The watch is held in place pretty securely and its overall quite comfortable to wear, but it’s really a pain getting the strap on and off. Can’t make any returns to Hermes but I think this will remain an occasional strap for me.

I’ve seen some lefties wear the watch upside down (there’s an option to flip the display in Settings) so that the digital crown is closer to the wrist… just a suggestion if you wanted to wear the band on the inside.

Yeah but I have been wearing the watch this way since Series 0 so it will be exceedingly hard for me to pivot. Haha.

Where did you find this watch face? I can’t seem to find it either… only black or white.
 
I know this may be a long shot, but I just got my 46mm Hermes with grand h in a large size and need one more link since it’s just a tad snug. Does anyone have an extra link they would sell?
